Have you ever been wronged by someone? Of course you have, don’t lie. It’s an amazing process and seems to be something that all of us experience. It’s always someone who is close or someone that is deeply admired. Let’s face it, they may seem perfect but they’re really not. It’s always a dangerous time when we put people on a pedestal. On the other hand, beware of people who put you on the same p ...

    Beautiful Woman

Everyone likes beautiful things and beautiful people. We as human beings enjoy things that are pleasing to the eye. Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Pieta are two works of beauty that come to my mind. Not only do we enjoy taking in great beauty with our senses, but most of us also do things to try to appear pleasing to the eyes of others. It’s almost instinctive. But how im ...

Exhausted, but grateful for being alive and free. Should be a relatively minor hitch from here: hop a freight towards Portland, catch-up with friends, get some rest- sounds like a plan.

Some vacation! Travelling up the coast highway from Central California the hard way. Now going on seven days and have only gotten to Roseburg, Oregon, hitchhiking, jumping freights and marching up the ...

If they were alive, could the first disciples recognize most American Christians as followers of Jesus? Where are these disciples of Jesus who do not settle for typical American Christianity? They they go by many names: “Friends of the Bridegroom”, “The Nazarites”, “The Sons of Thunder”, “The faithful ones”, “The over-comers”, “Vessels of Honor”, and many other names. Mark Anderson, the presid ...

Once, when asked to speak at a women’s meeting, it was requested of me to talk about the joy of the Lord. I thought, “Maybe I’m not the right person to do this. I’m not an overly bubbly woman. I’m more laid back and prefer sarcasm.” Then God reminded me that joy is not necessarily effervescent.
    Then I thought, “Well, that’s cool, God. I’m generally even-tempered and content with life. I guess I c ...

This is a 5-part study on spiritual warfare. Each part will cover different aspects of spiritual warfare and how it manifests itself in physical form through psychological warfare. With part 1 being the introduction to the study. The study covers our behavior individually from different perspectives.

On November 16, 1997, the NFL Indianapolis Colts who were 0 and 10 on the season had to face the Green Bay Packers. The Packers were the winners of the Super Bowl the previous year, and had a winning record. No one gave the Colts a chance to win the game. The coach, Lindy Infante, in a bid to encourage his team brought in a speaker to give a motivational speech. The speaker was Bob Wieland, a man ...

My son, Nate, who is now 14 years old is one of those kids I used to really dislike in school that never studied for a test or did the reviews but still scores a 100%. Its an amazing thing for me to see on a daily bases now. He has been averaging all A's this year in middle school with the exception of math where he gets B's. Math is a bit of a challenge for him. Thank goodness he has a grand ...
