A Prayer
Thankyou Lord, as we
say this prayer.
To our thought and actions
we give great care.
The day has come
and now has went.
The time we've had
was preciously spent.
With yesterday gone
and today on end,
the lessons we've learned
will tomorrow begin.
Forgive our misgivings
and where we went astray.
When our pride took over
and we lost our way.
Lead us and go with us.
Take us by the hand.
We need your guidance Dear Lord,
for we are only human.
Bless us each one
and protect our great land.
Our hearts we give to you,
our lives put in your hand.
Bless us Oh Lord
and keep us free.
Send us the light
so that all may see.
That from your Word,
our future is bright.
