Part two, 1991

In desperation
I kick, smashing this achilles heel against
the Gibralter of my
Personal archives.

Again
for affect, my last leg...
then watch somberly
as corpses float smugly
snugy
like placentas
down the yellow Ganges of
my polluted life-support system...
my convoluted death-rapport system.

I reach
to embrace Sirius in my left hand,
the raven in my right..
to snatch any semblance of victory
from morbid fright,
on this,
this
torrid night.

But before he can plead:
"Ah, hah!...Existentialism!"
shards of mystic pottery explode in torrents of
indignation
driving like hieroglyphic shrapnel into
bloody
tender
yellow-pine
yesterdays,
exotic
sawdust-scented bygones,
traumatic
sin-drenched
holidays on ice,

levelling

perhaps forever-
perish the concept-
for eternity, rather,
the arena of my gladiatorial games upon
the fiery arrrival
of

Mr. Chameleon.

This poem is deep...made me think. Good work
