When his letter was read, to him they said, no more gold had they to give.
Then came his reply, that they should die, and none would be allowed to live.
Now the Bible does say, that he came on that day, and circled their city around.
But to his great surprise, when the sun did rise, 185,000 lay dead on the ground.
When this news he was told, to Ninevah he rode, but his days of oppression were done.
And while he prayed to his lord, he was slain by a sword, held in the hand of his son.
