I read this poem this morning, and just wanted to share it. It was so meaningful to me.
Author: Unkown
Awake, my soul for God is near.
Awake and find release from fear.
Surrender, my soul for only then
will his full power be felt within.
Rest, my soul, his way is best.
Through quiet trust comes peace and rest.
Awake, my soul, awake and bring
the song my lips crave to sing.

This is a lovely poem, Linda. Thanks for sharing it with us :)
(I got so excited when I saw this post - I thought you decided to write some poems. Well, who knows? That might happen one day!)

I use to write some poems before, but it was all out of bitterness, and brokenness. Perhaps I should pray and ask God to give me words of wisdom and try honoring him in writing. I use to before to honor the world, I dont see why I cannot Honor Him and give Him praise. Perhaps the next one will be my own written to give the Great I AM all the honor and glory!

Thanks Linda, for posting this poem. It's not the author in most poems that is the blessing, but it's the rhythm, the rhyme, and the right words. It's the music of the soul. So write, write, write, Linda write! And remember, Charity never faileth!
