Three things in the Scripture do we find,
All are fragile and of the briefest kind.
They each tell the story of you and me.
Two in the Old Testament and one in the new,
All three describe something belonging to you.
Now tell me what these three things might be? :hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hug:
There will be more clues to follow, unless.............

One thing is even, another is as,
Something that each one of us has,
While the other is like something that grows.
I'll wait while you piddle,
With my little riddle,
To see if the answer anyone knows? :hmm::hmm::idea::idea::idea::B:rofl:

Here's a little more help with my little rhyme,
All three of these things are affected by time.
What they are, I wonder who knows?
While one brings to us joy,
Another speaks of our glory,
And the other, well it comes and it goes. :B:B:B:rofl::rofl::hug:

While one of these makes the dark days bright,
Another can only be seen through the light.
And the third could never survive the breeze.
Now look real close at each little clue,
That I have thus far given to you,
And tell what these three are if you please? :B:B:lol::lol::rofl::rofl::hug:

Oh dear, oh dear - this is too hard
but mayhap if I make a start
and read my Bible through and through
I'll answer at least one small clue.
Oh me, Oh my, I'm gonna cry
can't answer this one though I try
It's much to difficult for me
thus from this riddle I must flee.
Ok, alrighty then, I'll try
to find the answer, ere I cry -
But PastorMike, I must confess
I fear I'll just make one big mess :P.

For the two Books, now here are their names,
The Old Testament is Job and the New is James.
These three things are there written down.
Now if everyone looks,
In these two precious Books,
All three of these things may be found.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::hug:

Still looking for the same three things,
Of which the clues of my riddle sings.
Each a reflection of something precious to me.
Now what could these three little things be?
One has its beginning with the morning light,
And disappears with the onset of every night.
Another suspends itself with the utmost ease,
Yet it disappers with the slightest of breeze.
Then there's the one who's beauty is shared,
And has by all sometime has been admired.
Now look again at the clues of these three,
And tell me what you think they might be? :B:B:B:B:B:B:hug:

PastorMike - I am clueless - if I have to guess - the sun, the moon (or the wind) and the stars?
If not, I am going to have to enlist my husband's help - my brain is all in a knot over this strange riddle.:confused
God bless you, my friend

Perhaps, one is daylight/daytime, and another is wisdom, and perhaps the third, is our life. Just guessing. ;)

Hmmm. Clouds is a good guess. I wonder if clouds are mentioned in both books because it would certainly fit the clues. That was one I was struggling with so I think you might be right. Maybe the answer will be forthcoming soon.

O.K. here goes Tayariswife,
Each of these describe man's life,
All three are something everybody knows.
While one changes with the light,
One is known to vanish outright,
And the other is something that in a garden grows.
One is found in James chapter four,
About which I shall say no more,
And as far as where the other two might be,
If you will look in Job chapter fourteen,
There they both are clearly seen,
Now who shall be first to find them for me?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::hug:

:pp:pp:pp:pp:pp:pp Way to go Tayariswife. :pp:pp:pp:pp:pp:pp
All of these a type of how brief and fragile our lives really are:
James says that, even the vapor, appears for a liitle time and then it vanishes. The vapor is something that just can't be held onto when the breeze comes through. That is the way it is with a life that is being called home by a breeze from a distant shore.
Job says that , like the flower we come forth and are cut down. Like the flower we should bring something beautiful to those around us, because our time here in God's garden is brief. We will be cut down. Some flowers are cut down in their bud, some in their prime, and some when the season changes and the frost gets them. Either way our lives are like the flower. We have our season to bloom in and we should do all we can to bloom!
Job also says that, as a shadow, we flee with the passing of the light. The light of heaven shines on us and our lives should, just as the shadow, reflect the Lord Jesus Christ. Our shadow is merely a darker reflection of our selves. We, as the shadow, should be a darker reflection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Folks should be able to look on us and not see us, but see Christ in us, the hope of Glory! And by the way, Have you ever noticed the closer you stand to the light the more your shadow looks like you?
God Bless each of you that participate in my riddles and remember, Charity never faileth!
