I thought it would be great to share a thread with all of you about our hopes and dreams for 2009. Here are mine, to start. Please add yours! :hug:

1. I've been praying so much for chances to serve the Lord in new ways. However I can do that, I'm ready and would be SO happy to jump in! I'm just waiting on Him and continuing to do the work I already have before me as I wait. :)

2. My hope and prayer is to learn how to be a sister. Literally, a biological one. 2008 brought about the gift of a half brother I hadn't previously known... and now that he and I are talking regularly, my special hope is that God allows us to get to know one another MUCH better as family!

3. I want to see my mom and grandparents come to have relationships with Jesus Christ. I believe my mom is especially close to wanting that, and I just cherish each opportunity He gives me to reach out to her... and to my grandparents. I love them all SO much.

4. I hope SO much to fall more and more in love with my saviour, and to share that love with others. Every day that goes by is a day I rejoice in the reality that I'm His. This last year, I was reminded that even when humans let us down.... God does not. And because God's faithful, we can move on for the sake of His love! I need to remember that. I've got some scars from this last year... some rough edges. But they're NOTHING that Christ isn't already working on in me.

5. Something absolutely practical: I pray for a job teaching SOMEWHERE in my field. I trust God to take care of me.... and I am passionate about education. I'd LOVE to be working in the field full-time officially, helping the kids and teens whose age group I care about very much.

My prayer is that I may help someone to the Lord....

My hope is for income and someone or a loan ..something to fix my house up.....better health....

My dream....... that Jesus comes THIS year :pp:pp:pp

I want to be more open to Jesus, in spirit and mind.
I want to be reconciled to my son who has chosen to cut me out of his life.
I want to take one day at a time.

My prayer is that I can continue to serve the Lord the way I am already doing here on the moderatorteam, that my maid finally will understand my witnessing to her (she's doubleminded) and that my parents will allow me witnessing to them so they can come back to the Lord......

My hope is to grow more in knowledge of the Bible, and for my disease to not spread any further for now, and to be the best wife I can be for Charles......

My dream is to make it to another Christmas with Charles.....

My prayer is to grow in God as much as I can, to learn and understand what God wants me to do, and keep walking the narrow road. Also that God would restore my realtionships with my family members (inlaws included.........lol);)

My hope is get out there and perhaps start studying and make up for lost time.

My dream is to see my family and addict friends get to know God! :)

My praise that I got to know God

My hope is that I'll finally get into my career. My prayer is that I'll do it with the right motives and my dream is that I'll be happy doing what I've always wanted to do and not stress overly about the pressures of being a first year teacher.

My praise for this past year is that my brother's mental health seems to be improving tremendously and he's working really hard to accomplish something at school. It makes me very happy to see him now. It used to be a painful experience.

My hopes and prayers are for my children, that they will find their own path with the Lord and somehow manage to scrape together enough brain cells to make sound decisions and build a stable life.

My dreams have a tendency to be either crushed or postponed, so I pretty much just keep those to myself. :)
