A letter to the church
Confusion be gone in Jesus name is something the Holy spirit has prompted me to write just for YOU child of God and I hope it will Bless you as you read it, as it did me writing it praise God. DO YOU KNOW JESUS Well my journey started 20 years ago easter 1988 when i invited Jesus into my life and said the sinners prayer and asked the Holy spirit into my heart, and that night God became a reality to me, a kind of Damascus style reality praise God, Then for the next 17 years my head felt like it was being pushed and pulled, stretched and squashed by religon as James says, tossed with waves of doctrines to put it lightly praise God. But after the 17 years of headbashing clarity came, Once i made the decission to stop listening to people about God and to find out from God about God, and started studying Jesus and the words he spoke, and who He spoke them to, and guess what? clarity and freedom came. Lets start by clearing a few cobwebs out with one question, DO YOU KNOW JESUS THE CHRIST OF GOD?
1, I go to church every sunday
2, I go on missions to third world countries
3, I pay my tithe and give offerings
4, I pray every day
5, I help feed the homeless
6, I take holy communion weekly
7, I go to a house group once a week
and all these should be a part of your life when following Jesus, but none of these answer the question DO YOU KNOW JESUS,? But don't panic and keep reading praise God. Many christians walk in confusion daily quoting scripture, like this one for instance, whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. They believe that saying the sinners prayer is calling upon the Lord and from that point forward they are saved. Now let me tell you child of God thats a lie from hell, when you say the sinners preyer that is your start point a confession that you are in a mess that you can't get out of on your own, you see child of God before you can change, you first have to admit, just like an alcoholic first has to admit he is an alcoholic before he can start the road to recovery and change old habits for new ones. So lets just look at this scripture a bit closer and with commonsence, whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, lets just keep this simple can you call me on the phone right now? well you could phone me if you had my phone number, but why don't you have my phone number? because you don't know me, my friends have it and a lot of people who know me to talk to have it. can you see it child of God, glory to God, if you know me you can call me how simple is that? see confusion be gone in Jesus name. So now we see child of God in order to call on Jesus you have to know Him. Now how do i get to know Him you ask? DON'T PANIC its simple to know the words that Jesus spoke is to know God, because God gave His Son the words to speak and how and who to speak them too. Jesus spoke words of PEACE, words of JOY, words of FAITH, love, LIBERTY and ETERNAL LIFE, glory to God, Jesus said "you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free", so we can see child of God the words that Jesus spoke are as important to us as life its self or should be praise God, DISCIPLESHIP Starts with studying the words that Jesus spoke, Jesus said " if you live and abide in my word" another version say's " if you continue in my word" and another say's " you are truly my DISCIPLES if you remain FAITHFUL to my teachings, DISCIPLE when translated means, A personal follower of Jesus christ, as one of the 12. Wow glory to God, you see child of God, Jesus when He came from heaven down to earth,He came with a legesy of truth in words for you and me, words for our strength. Nehemiah said " for the joy of the Lord is your strength" and Jesus said to His disciples "these things I have spoken to you that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full" another version say's " I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy, yes your joy will overflow" well what did Jesus say and speak? WORDS praise God, and were do you find the words of Jesus? in Mathew, Mark, Luke and especially John the disciple who Jesus Loved, the disciple who Jesus entrusted His mother too, when He said "mother your son and son your mother." the disciple who put his head on Jesus's chest and heard the very heart beat of God, the disciple who God gave His reverlation to write, the disciple who Jesus wants to remain alive untill he returns. glory to God. so this boy you could say has got his credentials from God. Jesus said "man must be born again to see the kingdom of God, well same again child of God keep it simple, when we are born a baby what can we do for ourself? not a lot apart from drink and poop, so our parents taught us and we lernt from them by words spoken to us by our mum and dad then to school to be taught with more words, and its the same with our heavenly farther He offers to teach us the very way back to His presence through His son Jesus christ and the words he spoke, but child of God the choise is yours to give your time to read or listen to the words of Jesus and let the holy spirit teach you, just like Jesus says, " If anyone loves me, he will keep my word; and my farther will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. he who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the farther's who sent me. these things I have spoken to you while being with you. But the Helper, the holy spirit, whome the farther will send in my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your rememberance all things that I said to you. but child of God if you don't take time out to put the words of Jesus inside you by reading or listening to them daily, then there will be no truth in you for the holy spirit to bring to your rememberance, and the words of Jesus = FAITH, as Paul the apostle says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, or the word spoken through the lips of Christ. glory to God, well child of God lets now have a look at some ordinary people just like you and me who listened to and believed the words that Jesus spoke, and how those words impacted there life's. Lets start with the goverment official or nobleman whos son was at the point of death and pleaded with Jesus to come with him before his son dies, and Jesus simply told him to go home your son lives, so the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went home, and guess what? his son was alive when he got back, praise God, child of God can you see it the only thing this goverment official did was to believe the words that Jesus spoke to him. lets look at another man who has no name apart from a man who was blind from birth, now this time Jesus gave him a word with a task to fullfill after he spat on the ground made mud and annointed the blind mans eyes, and the task was to go and wash his eyes at the pool at Siloam, now the place were Jesus told the man to wash his eyes was about 1 mile, from were he was standing and along the journey to the pool there would have been many oppertunities to wash his eyes but he followed Jesus's instructions to the letter and guess what? he recived his sight praise God. Jesus once said to His disciples "do you want to go away and do your own thing" but Simon Peter stood up and said to Jesus "Lord were shall we go, you have the words of eternal life, so i'm staying with you." because Peter had the same reverlation that Paul the apostle had when writing this, for the word that God speaks is living and powerfull, and sharper than ANY two edgad sword, piercing and cutting between soul and spirit, between joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart. wow glory to God and all we have to do is spend time studying the words of Jesus, giving back to God what is God's, which takes us to something else that Jesus spoke, and same again if we keep it simple we will get a clear understanding of what Jesus was meaning when He said "give to ceaser what is ceaser's, and to God what is God's, you see God did not make money man did, God, He made something more precious than money, and some thing that whether you are rich or poor you can still give, and that child of God is TIME, He created time 24 hours a day 7 days a week 52 weeks a year praise God, TIME child of God to get a personal relationship with God through His son and the word He left us in the Gospels praise God. and Gospel when translated is, the teachings and reverlation's of Jesus Christ, glory to God so when Jesus said go in citys and towns all round the world and preach the Gospel He is literally saying go and tell people the word that I have told you, tell all people, My words of joy, My words of peace, My words of health, My words of prosperity,my Words of liberty, and My words that lead to eternal life. WORD,WORD,WORD,N,MORE,WORD. Paul the apostle, got the same reverlation when writing to the church at Ephesus, near the end of the letter he wrote this, finally, my brethren, or to sum up all of what i have just said, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power, put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil, do you see it child of God? Stand firm against ALL strategies of the devil, but you need God's armor, and the armor is this, the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the spirit, now let's look at these parts of armor piece by piece and keep it simple, first is the belt of truth, Jesus said, "I am the way the TRUTH and the life," in fact just about every time Jesus spoke he started the sentance with, " most assuredly i say to you" which when transelated simply means i tell you the truth, glory to God. so to put on the belt of truth is to know the words of Jesus, next is the breastplate of righteousness. righteousness is right standing with God, or what please's God, Paul writes in Hebrews 11:6 "And it is impossible to please God without faith", its as simple as that, and faith only come's by hearing and listening to the word spoken by God through the lips of his son Jesus Christ, glory to God, next are the shoes of the gospel of peace, gospel in the Oxford English dictoinary translates, the teachings and revelations of Jesus Christ, wow praise God! , next is the shield of faith, Paul says "above ALL take the shield of faith to stop ALL the firey darts of the devil, and this is the same faith that only come's by reading and listening to the word spoken by God through the lips of his son Jesus Christ, next is the helmet of salvation, Simon Peter wrote this "for you have been born again, not to a life that will quickly end. your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal and living word of God. as the scriptures say, "people are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. the grass withers and the flower fades. but the WORD of the Lord remains forever. glory to God . and finaly the sword of the spirit, Paul himself tells you that the sword of the spirit is the WORD of God, he also says in hebrews 4:12 for the Word that God speaks is ALIVE and powerful, it is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, wow thats sharp praise God, you see child of God what Paul is trying to get through to you is WORD, WORD and more WORD, glory to God, if you want a belt of truth it comes from the WORDS of JESUS, if you want the body armor of Gods righteousness, you need to read the WORDS of JESUS, if you want the peace shoes of God, you need to listen to the WORDS of JESUS, if you want to hold up the shield of FAITH, it comes from hearing the WORDS of JESUS , if you want the helmet of salvation, start reading the WORDS of JESUS , if want to hold and wield the sword of the spirit, start speaking the WORDS that Jesus spoke, but in order to speak the WORDS that Jesus spoke you need to know them first, and how do you get to know them? you need to read them or listen to them, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of God, how simple is that praise God. Jesus also said in mathew 4:4 my people shall not live by bread alone, but by every WORD that comes from the mouth of God, you see child of God you need the WORDS of Jesus daily just like food. now lets just take a look at another man with no name, the centurion who's servant were sick and tormented, said "Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. but only speak a WORD, and my servant will be healed,for I also am a man under authority, having solidiers under me. And I say to this one, 'GO',and he goes; and to another, 'come', and he comes; and to my servant, 'do this,' and he does it." and pay attention child of God to how Jesus answerd. when Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to all those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you,or I tell you the truth, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! glory to God for his TRUTH, can you see what i am trying to teach you. JESUS, GOD Himself has not seen faith like this from the time of Jacob till that point had not seen faith like this no named centurion who's only credential to recive this praise from God was to ask for some words from Jesus for him to believe. like i say and will carry on saying keep it simple, now you child of God you don't have to ask Jesus for some words for you to belive in because He has all ready left them for you and me and whosoever glory to God. now lets look at Jesus's mum Mary and what she says about her son, i mean this woman should know her son inside and out, lets go to John verse 2 you know the story thers a wedding at cana and about half way through they ran out of wine, and Mary said to the servants "what ever my son says to you, DO IT, glory to God how simple is that praise God. Jesus said "my sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. can you see it child of God? this is a message from God, you are my sheep if you listen to the words that I have left as a legasy for you, I now know you and see you following me.how simple is that? praise God. Faith, love and peace is all you need Jesus has done all the hard work Amen. :kiss:
