I know its discussed and sometimes hotly debated on here about the role of women in the bible and how we are treated as women in the countries we live in..and some don't feel they are treated well either in church or in their country. I have had a few complaints myself and yes of course some things could improve...its a work in progress so to speak...but I want all of you to watch this video if you can or at least read the article then thank God you were born where you are and have the belief in Him you do...so many women aren't so lucky. I read these horror stories of these muslim women all the time...:(

Afghan girls maimed by acid vow to go to school

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Shivering in pain and calling for her mother, Shamsia's hands shake uncontrollably, her eyes swollen shut and her skin peeling from terrible acid burns.
Shamsia and Atifa remain determined to get their education despite the attacks.

Shamsia and Atifa remain determined to get their education despite the attacks.

The 19-year-old was heading to school along with her 16-year-old sister, Atifa, in Kandahar, Afghanistan. It was a warm November morning last year and their only anxiety was being late for class.

"We saw two men up ahead staring at us. One was standing off and the other one was on their motorcycle. I wanted to go but there was a black object in his hand and he took it out," Atifa says.

The girls thought it was a water pistol. Video Watch acid attack in Afghanistan » (http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/01/22/acid.attacks/index.html#cnnSTCVideo)

"He grabbed my arm and asked, 'Will you be going to school anymore?' He then threw acid on my sister and threw acid on me," Shamsia says.

They weren't the only ones attacked that day. Several other teachers and students were targeted on their way to Meir Weis Mena School in Kandahar, the nation's third-largest city and one where the Taliban have long been influential. She isn't burned nearly as badly as I have seen in other pictures and video's...its not good but she isn't disfigured ..I am telling you that for those that might be afraid its really bad and not want to watch. In that sense she is lucky...hate to say that because she is obviously in terrible pain and may have scarring but like I said I have seen much, much worse. I have seen video's of women horrible disfigured by usually their husband's throwing acid in their face because they wanted a divorce. I have seen these ladies with serious disfiguring burns on their arms, legs and face from setting them selves on fire because they couldn't bear another day with their abusive muslim husbands. :( I have read stories of muslim women being beaten to death or sentenced to death because THEY got gang raped...

And now to be attacked for simply going to school! My heart just goes out to them...the cruel oppression is just awful. Its a curse to be born a women in a muslim country.

We are indeed blessed to be citizens of the United States of America. Thank you Lord!

Indeed...inspite of our complains about the government... When I see things like this...it really truly helps me realize how many freedoms we as women have...not just as citizens of the US but in our churches too.

More of the horror for women living under a government run false cult religion:

Violations of 'Islamic teachings' take deadly toll on Iraqi women (http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/02/08/iraq.women/index.html)

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The images in the Basra police file are nauseating: Page after page of women killed in brutal fashion -- some strangled to death, their faces disfigured; others beheaded. All bear signs of torture.

The women are killed, police say, because they failed to wear a headscarf or because they ignored other "rules" that secretive fundamentalist groups want to enforce.

"Fear, fear is always there," says 30-year-old Safana, an artist and university professor. "We don't know who to be afraid of. Maybe it's a friend or a student you teach. There is no break, no security. I don't know who to be afraid of."

Her fear is justified. Iraq's second-largest city, Basra, is a stronghold of conservative Shia groups. As many as 133 women were killed in Basra last year -- 79 for violation of "Islamic teachings" and 47 for so-called honor killings, according to IRIN, the news branch of the U.N.'s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

One glance through the police file is enough to understand the consequences. Basra's police chief, Gen. Abdul Jalil Khalaf, flips through the file, pointing to one unsolved case after another. (more at the link)

Unfortunately attacks like that don't just happen in places like Afghanistan. Here in the UK 3 men from my area were just jailed for gang-raping a 16 year old girl with learning difficulties and burning her with caustic soda.

I realize attacks on girls and women happen all over the world regardless of where you live..my point is though...this are common in muslim countries and the women rarely have any rights at all....rarely is anyone brought to justics. No males running their governments care enough to do anything about it because women are seen so much lower then men there.

God bless
