Actually posting a commercial link isn't just frowned upon. It's actually against the rules and if you had posted it I would have to deleat it. Thanks for not posting it and saving me the effort. (The reason I am posting this is to let others know so they don't try it either.)

you could try garage sales or church garage sales or make one yourself or do a search for children's bible cover sale or something like that.

I went to a dollar store, and bought a pack of "book cover protectors" for $2. There were 3 in the pack, black and blue stretchy fabric.... one's on my bible, and the other two are on hardcover history texts..... and none of them have worn out in over a year. :)
