Sure hope someone can help.
I am looking for a bible study where I live.
Right now I belong to a non denominational church and all they have is a sermon study. I want to study the bible.
Would anyone have any suggestions on finding a bible study, where I don't have to change churches?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
lbf

There are a host of Bible study sites on the internet.
Of course, that's not going to replace any studying you wish to do as part of a fellowship group.
There is a Bible study section on this site as well that you're free to participate in.
It's always good to a) study things out on our own and b) come together with other believers and discuss each other's insight so we can encourage one another and enrich our lives.
My answer to personal fellowship was to attend what's called a "cell group" one of our local church offers. We get together once a week at someone's home in a small group setting and work our way through the Bible, which has been very enriching on a personal level. We used to follow study guides and then decided we'd just free-form it and read through the New Testament together. Sometimes we follow a rough guide for whatever book or chapter we're in, other times not so much. And so far, so good, it's been really great. So you could inquire in your local churches as to who offers these kinds of groups. Mine happens to be in a Baptist church setting, and I would not readily define myself as a Baptist (I really don't attach myself to any denomination), but the group is wonderful, the people are loving and welcoming and we have a good time when we go, and so you never know. Maybe it's time to expand your horizons a little?
Good luck with your search, I pray that God will lead you to the right fit for you.

Have you talked to the pastor of your church to see if a bible study could be started?
In our church for example, we have a men's fellowship and bible study every Tuesday evening, and the ladies hold a bible study on Sunday evenings before the Sunday evening service. :)
If the pastor sees that there is a desire for a bible study, I'm willing to bet (were I a betting man) that he'd be delighted. ;)

In addition to the above good advice, you could ask Church going friends if they have Bible studies at their Churches. Get the name of the leader and I'm sure you'd be welcome to attend. I regularly attend Bible studies from several Churches. But, I'd agree with McGyver and suggest you first try to get a group going from your own Church.
