I have read/heard this claim before, but I can't remember where. Does anyone have an idea of where I may have heard this from, or where these claims can be found? Have they been compiled?
Thanks
Chris

Here's one website with an article on this very subject..... maybe not 200,000 of them, but archeological evidence nonetheless.

Also another good resource to keep in your "favorites" folder- this one gives the scoop on the reliability of scripture, and uses the existing anceint manuscripts that have been discovered..... Pretty informative.

I think the number I've heard more often is 24,000 digs based on Biblical testimony.

I have this one. I use this and a basic study bible. It's interesting reading any findings they have come across and how it can relate to the scripture as well as learning about the history of Christianity.

I checked out the first link. It had an article on the Pool of Saloam (sp). I subscribe to Biblical Archeology Review. Several years ago they had an article on that discovery. The discovered pool was dated precisely because they found artifacts in it that could be dated precisely and they also found a coin imbedded in the plaster of the pool that could be dated precisely. So they know when it was built and when it they stopped using it.
