Please pray for my daughter, Grace. She became ill at a friends this afternoon and had a temp. of 102. She has bad chills and to make matters worse, I found out she took two asprins at her friends. She is 12 and because of Rye Sndrome children should never been given asprin. Her temp is 99.0 now and she is sleeping. We have no insurance and my husband was laid of 2 1/2 weeks befire Christmas. He has found part-time work but we are already so far behind. Please pray with me for Grace to be healed and restored. I greatly appreicate it.

I guess I take the worse case sernio because for the last year and a half that is how it has been for our family:cry: Her depression seems to be better but with the additional fianncial stress and my sister's heart attack(Sandy is one of her favorite Aunts) she seems to be sliding backwards. Her first words to me this morning were I'm sorry for being sick, I know we can't a afford a dr. visit. No one 12 year old should feel guilty about that. We haven't had insurance since July and the cobra payments were $950.00 a month:eek: I have been resisting going the state program since we have always carried private insurance but now I don't know what to do. Sorry for rambling but I am so weary and worn out.

Lord, please help this family, especially Grace, who is sick.

We know that all works for good to those who love You, so we hold fast to that promise, knowing also that You will never leave or forsake us, even in an hour of need.

Please heal this child, and help her family, according to Your will and for Your glory, dear Lord! In the most precious name of Jesus, and for His sake I pray.

I have given her more Tylenol and she slept most of the day. Chills are bad. Thank you all so much for your prayers and kind words. Just wanted to let everyone know Grace seems to be doing better today. Her temp was 101.5 early this morning and with Tylenol has come down to 98.8. She has a sore throat but was able to eat a little breakfast and it playing her nintendo DS. She seems to have more energy. Not quite ready to run a marthon, but she is still awake looking glassy eyed. Thanks again for all your prayers:kiss: I'll keep everyone posted. God bless.

Grace's temp is back up to 102:( I did tak eher to CVS minute clinic and the nurse practioner was so sweet. She said classic flu symptoms and she couldn't charge me $100.00 to say there isn't anything they could do. I am praying that the school will not require a note which will cost me a $100.00 to say why she missed 4 days of school. Thanks for all kind words and prayers.:hug:

Steelerbabe, this has been on my mind since your first post and it won't go away, so I think I need to just say it. Grace may have mononucleosis. If you have a clinic in your town where you can go for testing without them charging an arm and a leg, make an appointment if Grace's energy levels don't pop back in a few days.

It isn't a devastating illness but it is certainly debilitating. If she has it, she needs rest and lots of TLC to get over it as quickly as possible.

I don't mean to be a drag - and I am continuing to pray for all of you. You have so much to deal with right now I hesitated saying anything.

Grace still has a cough, but she was able to go back to school yesterday. There were two children her age in Maryland who died from complications of the flu.:cry: Thanks again for the prayers and support.

Girl- I feel so badly for you and all the stress you must be feeling. :cry:
I pray your little girl will understand money means nothing to us as parents where their health and safety are concerned, and her Abba will always find a way! What a sweet child! Please keep us posted about work and insurance- we don't have health insurance, either, and got caught last year when our son had a massive brain bleed and was in ICU for two weeks and then another two weeks in med-surg. But God has been faithful helping us work it out.

I hope this doesn't offend, but we all pay taxes for a situation like this- don't hesitate to get your family insured through the state if you can. You know it won't be forever, but the peace of mind it might give your little girl...it may be worth it!
