With regards to the following scripture, If we do not have the law and we do those things contained in the law, why would we be a law unto ourselves? Why would doing so cause accusations or excuses?

Rom 2:14 (http://bibledatabase.org/cgi-bin/bib_search/bible.cgi?BIBLE=48&BOOK=45&CHAP=2&SEARCH=jesus king lord&Read=Read&FIRST=OK&HV=14) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Rom 2:15 (http://bibledatabase.org/cgi-bin/bib_search/bible.cgi?BIBLE=48&BOOK=45&CHAP=2&SEARCH=jesus king lord&Read=Read&FIRST=OK&HV=15) Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

God bless!

It's clear that the message God is trying to get across to us is that he wants our mind & soul focused on Love & good so these things guide our lives. Love grows in our earthly bodies.
The problem with the law. Using it to guide you in any way shape or form focuses our mind & soul on Evil. Therefor our focus is on anything & everything evil. Evil grows in our bodies & you are no friend of God.

Thanks Embankmentlb,

Is it because we are a law unto ourselves that problems arise either because we do as we feel we should, which may not be as God said it should be, or that we make excuses why we do not do as God said in the law that we say we abide in?

Rom 2:15 (http://bibledatabase.org/cgi-bin/bib_search/bible.cgi?BIBLE=48&BOOK=45&CHAP=2&SEARCH=jesus king lord&Read=Read&FIRST=OK&HV=15) Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Are our works of Faith?

Jas 2:18 (http://bibledatabase.org/cgi-bin/bib_search/bible.cgi?BIBLE=48&BOOK=59&CHAP=2&SEARCH=jesus king lord&Read=Read&FIRST=OK&HV=18) Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

God bless you!
