... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314960 This link was obtained by searching Google for "add fonts to windows." I am a confirmed Ubuntu/Linux system user but before I became disgusted with paying all that money for an operating system that must have a good firewall or two, a very good anti-virus program, several mal-ware cleaning devices and required hours of weekly maintenance to keep it operating at a slowly degrading speed, I used windows and was the computer guru for all my fiends and my Church Family. You, as I recall, need to add your fonts to the windows system as explained in this article and then they become available to your applications.
... When you become thoroughly disgusted with spending hundreds of dollars for an inferior operating system look into Ubuntu. It's totally free and has not been hit by a virus since 1996. All of the files are saved as contiguous and therefore never require defragging and best of all, there are about forty thousand programs available that do anything windows does, but they are point and click to intall and they are free!

I whole-heartedly agree with th1bill. Ubuntu, in my opinion, is an amazing OS for everyone. And you will not have trouble installing those pesky fonts!
