How did a third generation form? I can understand 1st generation being Adam and Eve, made by God. Their children would be generation #2. Now then, the only men on the Earth for a woman to become pregnant with would either be her brother or her father. I'm assuming God made no new people and he didn't bless them with the Holy Spirit as he did Mary, for that surely would've been mentioned in the Bible. Did they simply have children with family and not see it as awkward, or is there some other unknown explanation?

The following is a quote from: http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/nab/who-was-cains-wife
You can go there and read the whole thing as it's too lengthy to copy, but it is interesting and informative:)
"Many people immediately reject the conclusion that Adam and Eveís sons and daughters married each other by appealing to the law against brother-sister marriage. Some say that you canít marry your relation. Actually, if you donít marry your relation, you donít marry a human! A wife is related to her husband before they are married because all people are descendants of Adam and Eveóall are of one blood. This law forbidding close relatives marrying was not given until the time of Moses (Leviticus 18Ė20 (http://bible.logos.com/passage/nkjv/Leviticus%2018%E2%80%9320)). Provided marriage was one man for one woman for life (based on Genesis 1Ė2 (http://bible.logos.com/passage/nkjv/Genesis%201%E2%80%932)), there was no disobedience to Godís law originally (before the time of Moses) when close relatives (even brothers and sisters) married each other.
Remember that Abraham was married to his half-sister (Genesis 20:12 (http://bible.logos.com/passage/nkjv/Genesis%2020.12)).8 (http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/nab/who-was-cains-wife#fnList_1_8) Godís law forbade such marriages,9 (http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/nab/who-was-cains-wife#fnList_1_9) but that was some four hundred years later at the time of Moses."

Good question indeed. I always wondered who Cain was afraid of finding him. I guess his brothers and sisters would be the only possible answer.
