When God gave the children of Israel manna from heaven to eat, was there any excess and if there was what happened to it?
I can't imagine manna rotting all over the desert where the Isrealites were, so what happened to it?
Ideas:
Animals eat it
It simply disappeared
There was no excess
I know we will probably never Know at least not before we go to heaven but what are your ideas?

Perhaps maggots ate it.
And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. 20Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms (maggots?), and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. Exodus 16:19-20

LOL....You can believe that manna rained form Heaven, but not that it was lying all oevr the desert.
Considering there were no preservatives in it, I assume it went back to the earth rather quickly.

According to Ex. 13:21 when the sun became hot, it would melt. verse 15 says when the dew dried (I guess) that the manna like hoar's frost was left and when the sun heated it, it melted. What's curious is that they put some in the ark of the covenant, since no one could look into that, I wonder if it just stayed there out of the elements. I take that back. Actually an omer of it was gathered and put in a pot and was laid up before the Lord to be kept for their generations. It was laid up before the Testimony. I guess it was not actually IN the Ark.
Not a big point but I've always been curious about that.
