Hello all,
My grandmas sister (my second aunt) passed away last week from a long battle of lung cancer. We were incredibly close with her so it was sad to see her go at such the young age of 68. Although I do know she is in a much better place with God and I know she knew she was going to walk with the Lord the day she passed.

Anyway, At her funeral "how great thou art" by elvis presley was played because it was her favorite song. I find the words of this song greatly encouraging when it comes to losing a loved one or when it comes your turn to be called to heaven. Here's the song:

So sorry that you are grieving...but, there is a season for everything..the Bible says, we will live, we will die...the important part of that is making sure we surrender our lives to Christ and accept HIM into our hearts before we take our last breathe! That decision should be made as soon as we hear the gospel, because God doesn't promise tomorrow! We all have to make this decision to get to glory.

May the Lord embrace you at this time and give you HIS peace and joy...no one can steal those things from the Lord, unless you let them!

God Bless:)

Dear ohmylove, I am so sorry about the loss of your Aunt Joanne as I thank the Lord her suffering has ended.

Jesus said:

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.Matthew 5:4 (KJV (http://www.tnivbible.com/bible/passagesearch.php?passage_request=Matthew 5:4&kjv=yes))

My heartfelt prayers as you go through this difficult time. May you receive the comfort, peace, and blessing which the Holy Spirit provides.

In Christ...

I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.

The Balm Of God's Love

When we lose someone we love
The loss seems too great to bear
God sends us friends to comfort us
To show that He deeply cares

But in the dark hours of the night
When there’s nobody else around
When we feel the saddest and loneliest
It’s there God’s love can be found

It’s like a soothing, healing balm
To soothe our broken hearts
The healing oil poured over us
That flows into every part

We can rest secure in God’s love
And know He’s by our side
He holds us when we feel as though
A part of us has died

We can know that God will listen
When we just want to talk
And when we feel we need to cry
We can share it with the Lord

For He is always waiting there
Ready with arms open wide
As we pour out the hurt within
He pours His love inside

Our Father above loves us so much
And will never leave us alone
He will not forsake us in ou r need
To face this on our own

He comforts us and strengthens us
And rubs us with His balm
And as the dawn breaks through the night
We’ll awake in His loving arms.
