WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The H1N1 flu virus could cause up to 90,000 U.S. deaths, mainly among children and young adults, if it resurges this fall as expected, according to a report released Monday by a presidential advisory panel.

The H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu virus, could infect between 30 percent and 50 percent of the American population during the fall and winter and lead to as many as 1.8 million U.S. hospital admissions, the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology reported.

IAF jets on Saturday night struck a tunnel which was being dug by terror operatives in the northern Gaza Strip, the army said.


The IDF said it had destroyed a building housing the entrance to the tunnel 1.5km from the border. The tunnel was to be used to infiltrate Israel and carry out an attack, the army said.

In an effort to upgrade its attack helicopter fleet, the Israel Air Force is conducting flight tests with a new version of the Black Hawk utility helicopter that has been equipped with offensive air-to-surface missile launchers.

This is very disturbing news, NewInHim--thank you for alerting us to this. America has been a relatively safe place for Christians throughout the years, but I am seeing a great shift developing in attitudes towards true believers, and I do believe that things such as this homeschooler's situation are just the tip of the iceberg where persecution of Christians in America will be concerned in future days. Why should any authority of any kind here in America have the right to decide that a person's beliefs are "too sincerely held"? Genetic mutations that could account for more than one in five cases of Alzheimer’s disease have been found, in a significant leap forward for dementia research, scientists say.

British scientists have discovered two genes associated with the degenerative illness of the brain and their French colleagues uncovered a third. Having certain variations of the three genes could increase the risk of having “common” late-onset Alzheimer’s by ten to 15 per cent, the researchers say.

It is thought that cancelling out their effects could prevent almost 100,000 cases of Alzheimer’s disease in the UK each year.

Others say an uttering of grave sentences, like Solomon’s proverbs. Some confine this word of wisdom to the revelations made to and by the apostles.

To another the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit; that is, say some, the knowledge of mysteries (ch. 2:13): wrapped up in the prophecies, types, and histories of the Old Testament: say others, a skill and readiness to give advice and counsel in perplexed cases.

To another faith, by the same Spirit; that is, the faith of miracles, or a faith in the divine power and promise, whereby they were enabled to trust God in any emergency, and go on in the way of their duty, and own and profess the truths of Christ, whatever was the difficulty or danger.

To another the gift of healing, by the same Spirit; that is, healing the sick, either by laying on of hands, or anointing with oil, or with a bare word.

To another the working of miracles; the efficacies of powers, such as raising the dead, restoring the blind to sight, giving speech to the dumb, hearing to the deaf, and the use of limbs to the lame.

To another prophecy, that is, ability to foretel future events, which is the more usual sense of prophecy; or to explain scripture by a peculiar gift of the Spirit. See ch. 14:24.

To another the discerning of Spirits, power to distinguish between true and false prophets, or to discern the real and internal qualifications of any person for an office, or to discover the inward workings of the mind by the Holy Ghost, as Peter did those of Ananias, Acts 5:3.

To another divers kinds of tongues, or ability to speak languages by inspiration.

To another the interpretation of tongues, or ability to render foreign languages readily and properly into their own. With such variety of spiritual gifts were the first ministers and churches blessed.

V. The end for which these gifts were bestowed: The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal, v. 7. Note, Whatever gifts God confers on any man, he confers them that he may do good with them, whether they be common or spiritual. VI. The measure and proportion in which they are given: All these worketh one and the same Spirit, dividing to every man as he will. It is according to the sovereign pleasure of the donor. What more free than a gift? And shall not the Spirit of God do what he will with his own? May he not give to what persons he pleases, and in what proportion he pleases; one gift to one man, and another to another; to one more, and another fewer, as he thinks fit? British scientists given go-ahead to create human-animal embryos

British scientists could create the country’s first interspecies embryos by the end of the year, after the Government’s fertility watchdog yesterday approved the work in principle.

Two teams seeking to fuse human DNA with empty cow eggs to study diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s are expected to be granted licences in November, now that the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) has agreed to look favourably on their applications.

The work to make cytoplasmic hybrid or “cybrid” embryos, which are 99.9 per cent human in genetic terms, should then begin immediately at King’s College London and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, unless it is blocked by a legal challenge.

A third application to create cybrids for studying motor neuron disease will also be submitted by a team from King’s and the University of Edinburgh, which had been waiting for the authority to decide on the issue in principle.

This week, the first truly designer baby will be born in Britain. She's the offspring of a woman whose family had an incredibly high incidence of early breast cancer - all traceable back to a specific gene that causes a predisposition for the disease. Without intervention, her baby would have had a 50-80% chance of getting breast cancer.

So the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, had her fertilized embryo (pictured) tested for the gene. She wanted to eradicate the gene from her family, and was able to do it by picking an embryo that did not contain the gene. Now she is guaranteed that her offspring does not carry this particular breast cancer-causing gene, called BRCA1.

I am not sure why some materialists are so fervently anti human exceptionalism. I suspect they believe that by humbling us into believing our lives are no more important than that of animals, it would undermine Judeo/Christian moral philosophy in general and theism in particular. Some too, I think, wish to have us sacrifice ourselves to "save the planet," in pursuit of the neo- nature worship that seems to be growing.

This desire leads some materialists to yearn for scientists to find (or create) a human/chimpanzee hybrid that could interbreed with both species, and thereby "break the species" barrier. James Hughes yearned for such a hybrid to be manufactured through genetic engineering in Citizen Cyborg, because he wrote, it would prove humans are not special and undermine what he calls "human racism."

Any time corporate executives and directors are heavily selling their company's stock there's reason for concern. And lately they've been doing just that.

The last time insider selling was as high as it is now was in the period from late 2006 to late 2007. It was right after that insider-selling surge that the stock market began its long painful decline, says Charles Biderman, CEO of TrimTabs, an independent institutional research firm.

Biderman believes that insider trades shoot higher when there's a disconnect between broad market opinions and what business executives feel in their gut. "When [insiders think] things are going better than most people think, they buy stock," he says. "When things are going worse than people think, they sell."

According to the Color of Change website, the government left black people and minorities to die (http://colorofchange.org/about.html) in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina because they were poor, and because of their race.
Jones is also a “9/11 truther.” This is a group that claims the U.S. government was involved with causing the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Consider Mark Lloyd, the administration’s chief diversity officer (http://www.fcc.gov/ogc/lloyd.html) at the Federal Communications Commission (fcc). He too reads like a page out of a Marxist playbook.

Carol Browner has big plans as well. She is Obama’s lead on global warming. She is also known for her membership in Socialist International (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jan/12/obama-climate-czar-has-socialist-ties/)—a group for “global governance.” The group wants America to subordinate itself to an international world-governing body. It also calls for rich countries to shrink their economies to combat global warming.

Then there is John Holdren, Obama’s science adviser. I don't entirely know why he made that identification, and am not well versed on it myself, but given what you just posted, it certainly gives me pause to contemplate if it be true.

NAM Summit called for a new world order

A "perfect storm" of circumstances is coming together that is leading many agriculture experts to predict that we will soon be experiencing a worldwide food crisis of unprecedented magnitude. Will 2010 be the year that the world runs out of food? Record setting droughts, exploding populations and crippling crop failures all over the world are combining to set the stage for a potentially devastating food crisis in the coming year.


Even in such technologically advanced times, the reality is that the food supply is not immune to droughts and plagues. Even the United States has been dramatically affected.


Just consider the following examples.....

1) Bulgaria harvest will be around 20% lower than last season's output.
2) Argentine farmers will plant just 2.6 million hectares of winter wheat for the 2009/10 season, a stunning 2.1 million less than was planted in 2008/09 (down nearly 45%).
3) Part of the reason behind lower plantings is a two fingered salute to the government and their export restrictions.
4) Brazil, the world's third largest wheat importer, bought 51,000 MT of US wheat last week, more than it bought in the entire first six months of the year.
5) With the Brazilian real strengthening against the dollar, Brazilian millers that are being forced to look for supplies are finding US wheat fitting the bill quite nicely.
6) Canadian crop development lags with 60% of winter grains are behind normal development. Spring grains development is even further behind, with 75% of crops affected.
7) Ukraine will only produce 35 MMT of grain this season, 35 percent less than last year.
8 ) 3.3 million hectares of the Russia’s spring crops have been badly damaged by drought. Production this year is seen lower at around 55-60 MMT from 63.7 MMT in 2008.
9) Sugar hit it's highest in three years last week.
10) The lack of monsoon rains in northern India was the main driver of the rally in sugar. World demand is outstripping supply by over six million tonnes at the moment, and India is set to potentially become the world's largest importer this year.
11) Spanish wheat output is now projected 32% lower this year at 3.8 MMT.
12) Rain is damaging crops in the UK and across Europe.

What does Gomer consist of?


That's a good question, and I'm going on memory since this sermon I heard was over 11 years ago, but, I think it includes a huge chunk of modern day germany, as well as several eastern block countries (I think the Czechs or Slavs may be included in that) Should be noted I believe that some of those eastern block countries have a pretty high muslim population if I recall correctly.


A quick search turned up the following tidbit, and I don't know whether this site is correct or not, but I share it because I hadn't thought about Ukraine, Belarus, being involved before, and we know they were once allied with russia, and have been pressured by russia in recent years.

Yet Betty Lyn wrote in Pathways to Armageddon ...and Beyond. that with the changing face of the globe this may not be so: "Many fine expositors interpret Gomer to be modern Germany. This is in keeping with Jewish tradition. Until the late 1980s it was very easy to stand by this interpretation. East Germany was the largest Russian satellite in Eastern Europe....Perhaps Germany is not the tribe of Gomer mentioned in Ezekiel. On our cross-reference table, you can see that at least some maps indicate that Gomer originally settled in what is today the Ukraine, Southern Russia and Turkey before migrating westward. Therefore Gomer may not be Germany at all, but the Ukraine and her immediate neighbours."

You forgot one other important numerical symbology relating to the number 144. Number 144 is a very special number, it is a perfect square, meaning that if you take the square root of it you will get a whole number, in this case it is the number 12. Twelve squared (12^2 = 12 * 12 = 144), and as we know the number 12 is symbolic through out the bible in prophecy.

America is continually making ordinances to advance the homosexual agenda. Sodomites can legally marry in California and Massachusetts while many states recognize civil unions. Homosexuals are now able to adopt children and gain custody of children during a divorce. There are now numerous hate speech laws which are being used to silence opposition to the homosexual agenda. America is a long way down the road to enacting all the Ordinances of the Amorites.

The Bible warns of God judging a nation that walks in these ordinances. When the corporate attitude of a nation is friendly toward homosexuality then at this point the iniquity is full. It is apparent that “the cup” of America ’s sin is rapidly filling up. Americans hardly blush anymore at fornication and adultery. The nation kills over one million babies a year with up to 50 million killed since 1973. The legalizing of abortion was an additional Ordinance of the Amorites. Homosexuality is fast becoming a constitutional right. The only ordinance left to fulfill Leviticus 18 is bestiality. This is probably next on line to become an ordinance!

The Scriptures indicate that when a person engages in homosexuality it is an indication they are under God’s judgment.

A new audio tape from Osama bin Laden warning the American people over their government's close ties to Israel has been released by al- Qaeda's media branch, according to a US-based terror monitoring group.

The excavation in the City of David was made public Sunday by the Israel Antiquities Authority.

The road has been known for more than 100 years, when it was discovered in the late 1890s by Professor Frederick Bliss and Archibald Dickey of the British Palestine Exploration Fund.
