LAST DAYS – GOD’S STRATEGY FOR OUR WORLD
I believe that already at “In the Beginning,” God had a strategy for our world, He planned something better for all His children.
Hebrews 11:40 (NIV)
God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
Psalm 33:11 (New Living Translation)
11 But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever;

(Tim Lahaye)
GOD IS THE BEGINNING AND THE ENDING
Revelation 1:8 (21st Century KJV)
"I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA,THEBEGINNING AND THE ENDING," saith the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
ALL IS UNDER THE PERMISSIVE DIRECTION OF GOD
Revelation13:5. (KJV Bible Commentary) ….. All is under the permissive direction of God, as with Job and Satan long ago (cf. Job 1–2).
GOD LOVES THE WORLD
John 3:16 (King James Version)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son {Jesus Christ}, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
JESUS CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED FOR OUR SINS
Hebrews 12:2 (NIV)
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
JESUS CHRIST’S SOLUTION FOR NEW AGE
John 14:6 (Amplified Bible) Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
Romans 12:2 (New Living Translation)
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
THE RAPTURE
(Some churches do not believe in it)
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17(KJV with Strong Numbers)
16 For the Lord {Christ} Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
17 then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up {catch away, pluck, pull} together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
THE 7-YEAR TRIBULATION
Matthew 24:21 (KJV) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
THE GLORIOUS SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
Revelation 1:7 (21st Century KJV) The second coming of Christ to earth in fulfillment of Old Testament prediction (cf. Dan 7:13) will be seen by all kindreds of the earth at the time, Israel and the nations.
Matthew 24:30 (KJV)
and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man {Jesus Christ} coming in the clouds of heaven with power and with great glory.
SATAN BOUND FOR A 1000 YEARS IN ABYSS
Matthew 24:16-28 (KJV Bible Commentary) The terrible days [Great Tribulation] of that time shall be shortened by the sudden return of Christ to destroy the Wicked One {Satan) (II Thess 2:8).
Revelation 20:2 (KJV)
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.
1000-YEAR (MILLENNIAL) KINGDOM OF CHRIST
Matthew 24:29-31(KJV Bible Commentary) Signs of the coming Son of Man {Christ}
The reference to the events immediately after the tribulation, such as the sun being darkened and the stars falling, etc., refer to the cataclysmic events that will accompany Christ’s return at the end of the Tribulation Period to establish His millennial kingdom on earth (see W. Price, Jesus’ Prophetic Sermon, p. 118ff.). What this sign (Gr semeion) will be is not explained here.
Revelation 20:2 (KJV)
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.
GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT
Revelation 20:11(KJV) And I saw a great white throne and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them.
Romans 14:10 (KJV)
But why dost thou judge thy brother? Or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
LAKE OF FIRE
Revelation 19:20 (KJV) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles in his presence, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire, burning with brimstone.
Revelation 20:15 (KJV)
And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:8 (KJV + Dictionary)
But the fearful and unbelieving {without Christian faith}, and the abominable {dreadful, extremely offensive}, and murderers, and whoremongers {sexually indiscriminate; sexual intercourse outside marriage}, and sorcerers {have magical powers}, and idolaters {worshipper of idols}, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
THE NEW JERUSALEM
Revelation 21 (Matthew Henry’s Commentary on the Bible)
…. in the conduct of divine Providence towards the church in the world: now, at the close of all, the day breaks, and the shadows flee away; a new world now appears, the former having passed away. Some are willing to understand all that is said in these last two chapters of the state of the church even here on earth, in the glory of the latter days; but others, more probably, take it as a representation of the perfect and triumphant state of the church in heaven.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has ordered an inquiry in to the "suspicious" death of Neda Soltan, the woman shot by government militiamen during a protest in Tehran.
The President sent a letter to the chief of Iran's judiciary, Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, requesting a serious investigation to help to identify and prosecute “the elements” behind the killing earlier this month.

ROME — The first-ever scientific test on what are believed to be the remains of the Apostle Paul "seems to confirm" that they do indeed belong to the Roman Catholic saint, Pope Benedict XVI said Sunday.
It was the second major discovery concerning St. Paul announced by the Vatican in as many days.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529346,00.html?test=latestnews
There have been a few major discoveries lately. A while back a cave used by early Christians was found. Then last week we had all this discussion about the Ark.

Two-timing politicians, take note: cheating has never been easier. AshleyMadison.com, a personals site designed to facilitate extramarital affairs, now boasts slick iPhone and Blackberry versions that help married horndogs find like-minded cheaters within minutes. The new tools are aimed at tech-savvy adulterers wary of leaving tracks on work or home computers. Because the apps are loaded up from phones' browsers, they leave no electronic trail that suspicious spouses can trace.

From Nelson’s New Illustrated Bible Dictionary:
THE GREAT TRIBULATION— a short but intense period of distress and suffering at the end of time. The exact phrase, “the great tribulation,” is found only once in the Bible (Rev. 7:14). The great tribulation fulfills Daniel’s prophecies (Daniel 7–12). It will be a time of evil from false christs and false prophets (Mark 13:22) when natural disasters will occur throughout the world.

Jewish neighborhoods in east Jerusalem are included in the US demand that Israel halt "settlement" construction, including for natural growth, State Department spokesman Ian Kelly told The Jerusalem Post during a press briefing on Monday.
"We're talking about all settlement activity, yes, in the area across the line," he said, referring to neighborhoods in Jerusalem over the Green Line, or pre-1967 armistice line, in response to a question on where America's calls to halt construction in the settlements would be applied.

The point is that the proposed federal "hate crime" law before the Senate is less about righting wrongs than it is about elevating sexual preferences -- all of them -- to civil rights status so they can be used as a battering ram against people with traditional values.
"Hate crime" laws ensure unequal justice. They empower some groups of victims at the expense of others. A grandma using an ATM machine should have as much protection under the law as a man walking out of a "gay" bar. But under the proposed federal "hate crimes" law, an assailant of a man perceived as homosexual would face greater penalties than grandma's mugger.
Yesterday (Thursday, June 25), the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act (S. 909), which passed the House on April 29 in a largely partisan vote of 249 to 175, with 10 abstentions.

Food shortages returned last year, while aid and investment from neighbors such as South Korea and Japan have dwindled. How bad the situation may be is hard to assess since North Korea doesn't reveal significant economic data.
North Korea's woes are a direct result of the regime's refusal to change its outdated economic system. Unlike China's leaders, who linked market-oriented reforms to the Communist Party's survival, Kim Jong Il and his cohorts see economic openness as a threat to their power and have in recent years intensified state control over the economy.

It's not evil, it's preemptive. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I do understand it. Many people here in the U.S. have Chicken Pox parties for toddlers under the age one. It is beneficial for several reasons: you don't have to worry about your kid getting them later; you don't have to worry about keeping your kid home from school when they do get them; the kid is too young to scratch. All in all it's a more pleasant experience for the kid and the parents. Though Chicken Pox is a much less threatening disease than Swine Flu is. Anyways, just letting you understand the philosophy behind it all and it is certainly not evil. It's quite similar to the science behind a flu shot.

Call me crazy if you want, but I call that Hype. Any website you visit leaves an electronic trail somewhere. The phone company probably tracks it so they can meter your usage. So to say you leave no electronic trail is something I highly doubt is 100% true, but then, that's the point there isn't it? To assuage the conscience of those who might use this awful site in the first place.

If airline travel counted as progress then you could say that Israel and the Palestinians had a good chance of a deal. Ehud Barak, Israel’s Defence Minister, flies back from Washington; George Mitchell, President Obama’s special envoy, will pitch up in the region again in a fortnight. Obama suggests that the US will unveil its grand plan in the coming weeks, and his team is talking about a regional summit in September (possibly in London, a coup for Gordon Brown).
Obama himself is the biggest new factor bringing hope; another is the engagement of Israel’s Arab neighbours, provoked by fear of Iran’s rise, and of the effect of a festering Israeli-Palestinian conflict on radical Islam. “The regional dimension gives a golden opportunity to move forward,” argues Isaac Herzog, a Labour minister in Binyamin Netanyahu’s coalition Government.

As I pointed out, I think could be are the key words in that statement. From my experience government agencies, disease agencies and the likes all focus on worst case scenarios.
I mean I could say next week could be the end of the world, but most people would laugh at that.
And I have to somewhat laugh at the Swine Flu scare, so far it has not surpassed any normal yearly flu from what I have read and I am glad they are taking preemptive measures but I think they hype is just that. HYPE.

LONDON, July 6 (Reuters) - The surviving parts of the world's oldest Christian bible will be reunited online on Monday, generating excitement among biblical scholars still striving to unlock its mysteries.
The Codex Sinaiticus was hand written by four scribes in Greek on animal hide, known as vellum, in the mid-fourth century around the time of the Roman emperor Constantine the Great who embraced Christianity.
Not all of it has withstood the ravages of time, but the pages that have include the whole of the New Testament and the earliest surviving copy of the Gospels written at different times after Christ's death by four of the Apostles: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
The bible's remaining 800 pages and fragments -- it was originally some 1400 pages long -- also contain half of a copy of the Old Testament. The other half has been lost.
"The Codex Sinaiticus is one of the world's greatest written treasures," said Scot McKendrick, head of Western manuscripts at the British Library.
The bible, which can be viewed online free from Monday, includes modern Greek translations and some sections translated into English.

Codex Sinaiticus is one of the most important witnesses to the Greek text of the Septuagint (the Old Testament in the version that was adopted by early Greek-speaking Christians) and the Christian New Testament. No other early manuscript of the Christian Bible has been so extensively corrected.
A glance at the transcription will show just how common these corrections are. They are especially frequent in the Septuagint portion. They range in date from those made by the original scribes in the fourth century to ones made in the twelfth century. They range from the alteration of a single letter to the insertion of whole sentences.
One important goal of the Codex Sinaiticus Project is to provide a better understanding of the text of the Codex and of the subsequent corrections to it. This will not only help us to understand this manuscript better, but will also give us insights into the way the texts of the Bible were copied, read and used.
By the middle of the fourth century there was wide but not complete agreement on which books should be considered authoritative for Christian communities. Codex Sinaiticus, one of the two earliest collections of such books, is essential for an understanding of the content and the arrangement of the Bible, as well as the uses made of it.
The Greek Septuagint in the Codex includes books not found in the Hebrew Bible and regarded in the Protestant tradition as apocryphal, such as 2 Esdras, Tobit, Judith, 1 & 4 Maccabees, Wisdom and Sirach. Appended to the New Testament are the Epistle of Barnabas and 'The Shepherd' of Hermas.
The idiosyncratic sequence of books is also remarkable: within the New Testament the Letter to the Hebrews is placed after Paul's Second Letter to the Thessalonians, and the Acts of the Apostles between the Pastoral and Catholic Epistles. The content and arrangement of the books in Codex Sinaiticus shed light on the history of the construction of the Christian Bible.
The ability to place these 'canonical books' in a single codex itself influenced the way Christians thought about their books, and this is directly dependent upon the technological advances seen in Codex Sinaiticus. The quality of its parchment and the advanced binding structure that would have been needed to support over 730 large-format leaves, which make Codex Sinaiticus such an outstanding example of book manufacture, also made possible the concept of a 'Bible'. The careful planning, skilful writing and editorial control needed for such an ambitious project gives us an invaluable insight into early Christian book production.

Watching the governor of South Carolina cry like a little girl because his sexy e-mails got forwarded to his local newspaper, the State, made me wonder whether the real secret to a lasting marriage lies in limiting your means of escape. Whether you're putting the Buick Regal in reverse or hitting "Send" on a love note, you're busting out of your marriage, however temporarily, and soon enough there will be hell to pay.
When a married man begins a secret, solicitous correspondence with a beautiful and emotionally needy single woman, he has already begun to cheat on his wife.
And so two more american families discover a truth as old as marriage: a lasting covenant between a man and a woman can be a vehicle for the nurture and protection of each other, the one reliable shelter in an uncaring world — or it can be a matchless tool for the infliction of suffering on the people you supposedly love above all others, most of all on your children.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come. (Mat 24:14)
My view is that "the end" could refer to the end of the Great Tribulation
The 10/40 Window is a term coined by Christian missionary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_(Christian)) strategist Luis Bush (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luis_Bush) in 1990 to refer those regions of the eastern hemisphere located between 10 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10th_parallel_north) and 40 degrees north (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/40th_parallel_north) of the equator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equator), a general area that in 1990 was purported to have the highest level of socioeconomic challenges and least access to the Christian message and Christian resources on the planet.
The 10/40 Window concept highlights these three elements: an area of the world, with great poverty and low quality of life, combined with lack of access to Christian resources.
The Window forms a band encompassing Saharan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahara) and Northern Africa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Africa), as well as almost all of Asia (West Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Asia), Central Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Asia), South Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Asia), East Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Asia) and much of Southeast Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southeast_Asia)). Roughly two-thirds of the world population lives in the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window is populated by people who are predominantly Muslim (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim), Hindu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu), Buddhist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhist), Animist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animist), Jewish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish) or Atheist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheist).

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - The United States should be planning for a possible second round of fiscal stimulus to further prop up the economy after the $787 billion rescue package launched in February, an adviser to President Barack Obama (http://www.reuters.com/news/globalcoverage/barackobama) said.
"We should be planning on a contingency basis for a second round of stimulus," Laura D'Andrea Tyson, a member of the panel advising President Barack Obama (http://www.reuters.com/news/globalcoverage/barackobama) on tackling the economic crisis. said on Tuesday.
Tyson dispelled concerns about the ballooning U.S. fiscal deficit that is estimated to hit nearly 10 percent of gross domestic product, and its possible inflationary consequences.
"The Federal Reserve is not going to allow the U.S. to inflate away its debt," she said.
It is almost in no one's interest to have a sharply spiraling downward dollar," she said. The dollar ought to decline in the longer term on a trade-weighted basis but she did not anticipate a sharp and sudden decline.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. government released new rules on Monday governing federally funded research on human embryonic stem cells, loosening some ethical requirements that scientists said could have cost them a decade of work.
The rules, which take effect on Tuesday, keep many existing restrictions on the research. U.S. federal funds may still not be used to actually make the cells using human embryos -- only to work with the cells after someone else has made them.

Even as Pentagon lawyers begin trying to ease the "Don't ask, don't tell" prohibition on gays serving openly in the U.S. military, the murder last week of an apparently gay sailor at California's Camp Pendleton has raised new questions over the readiness of the armed forces to accept openly homosexual personnel.
Seaman August Provost of Houston was shot and killed while standing nighttime guard at his base on June 30. His body was found at about 3 a.m. after his guard shack had been torched, apparently to destroy evidence surrounding his slaying, according to Navy officials. Provost was gay, according to his family, gay activists and his MySpace page, and had reportedly "come out" to some of his Navy colleagues. Two California Democratic members of Congress, Susan Davis and Bob Filner, have asked the military to investigate whether Provost's sexual orientation was the reason for his murder. Local gay activists have also asked for such a probe, and are planning a candlelight vigil outside Camp Pendleton's gates this Friday

Israel considers Iran its most dangerous adversary and is wary of hard-line Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who just won a disputed re-election. He repeatedly has called for Israel to be wiped off the map and contends the Holocaust is a "myth."
Israel and the U.S. accuse Iran of seeking to develop weapons under the cover of a nuclear power program. Iran denies that.

A sure sign of the Last Days - Roelof
Homosexual "weddings" should be celebrated in churches, a Government minister has said in defiance of religious teaching.
Chris Bryant, who once posed in his underpants on a gay dating website, said he wanted clergy to be "much more open" to the idea of treating civil partnership ceremonies like traditional marriages.
However, his suggestion goes directly against the rules of the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church, which state that only the union of a man and a woman can be celebrated by a priest in church.
It comes as the Government is pushing through an Equality Bill that religious groups fear will force them to give jobs to homosexual youth workers or secretaries, even if their faith maintains that same-sex relationships are sinful.
"I would like to see churches be much more open to the idea of gay relationships or partnerships being celebrated in church."

Except for an abortion due to medical reasons, it is murder - Roelof
At United Nations headquarters this week, the Obama administration continued its push for ever increasing access to legal abortion around the world. The Obama team has introduced language that has thrown a high level negotiation into a roil. The US proposal calls for “universal access” to “sexual and reproductive health services including universal access to family planning.” The document under consideration will culminate in the 2009 Annual Ministerial Review, which convenes next week in Geneva.
The sticking point for many delegations and what has driven apart the usual solid European bloc is the use of the word “services” in the context of “reproductive health.” Way back in 2001 during negotiations related to the ten year review of the Child Convention, a Canadian delegate blurted out “of course everyone knows ‘services’ means abortion.”

Even as it became an observable trend in the decline of ancient Rome, so it has been during the collapse of all great world powers: You can track the moral descent of a nation by its cultural decline.
Media coverage of this week’s funeral for Michael Jackson will be massive, and it will be global. Such was the almost universal appeal of the Jackson entertainment machine. Yet, just a single lifetime ago, the style of “entertainment” embraced by generations of Jackson worshippers would have been relegated to the world of the weird and the perverse, if not the downright demonic.
Gates placed Jackson in order of descent in a line of pop idols that have emanated from postwar Anglo-American “culture.”

A day before the G8 summit, the pope calls for a New World Order - Roelof)
Pope Benedict XVI criticized the international economic system yesterday and called for a new global structure based on social responsibility, concern for the dignity of the worker and a respect for ethics.
"Today's international economic scene, marked by grave deviations and failures, requires a profoundly new way of understanding human enterprise," Benedict wrote in his latest encyclical, which is the most authoritative document a pope can issue. "Without doubt, one of the greatest risks for business is that they are almost exclusively answerable to their investors, thereby limited in their social value."
In the sweeping 144-page document (http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/encyclicals/documents/hf_ben-xvi_enc_20090629_caritas-in-veritate_en.html), Benedict sketches a radically different world economy, in which access to food and water is a universal right, wealthy nations share with poorer ones and profit is not the ultimate goal of commerce. He advocates the creation of a "world political authority" to manage the economy

ROME, Italy -- As President Barack Obama arrived in Italy today for a summit of the Group of Eight industrial nations, aides voiced confidence that leaders will maintain their support for economic stimulus strategies in the face of a global recession and said the best commitment that the United States can make on climate change lies with energy legislation moving through Congress.
Leaders have said "it's time to prepare exit strategies," Froman said, "but not necessarily to put them into place yet."
World leaders gathered in L'Aquila for a noontime luncheon and then a series of meetings on issues ranging from the global economy to nuclear nonproliferation and food security.

L'AQUILA, Italy (Reuters) - G8 leaders believe the world economy still faces "significant risks" and may need further help, according to summit draft documents that also reflect failure to agree climate change goals for 2050.
Documents seen by Reuters before the G8 summit began on Wednesday cautioned that "significant risks remain to economic and financial stability" while "exit strategies" from pro-growth packages should be unwound only "once recovery is assured."
The Group of Eight -- United States, Germany, Japan, France, Britain, Italy, Canada and Russia -- kicked off with debate on the economic crisis, after what one analyst called a "reality check" in recent weeks on the prospects for rapid recovery.
But few big initiatives were expected as the G20, a broader forum that also includes the main emerging economies, is tasked with formulating a regulatory response to the crisis and meets in September in Pittsburgh after an April summit in London.

The support of the Pope will boost the maturing of the New World Order - Roelof
VATICAN CITY (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/international/countriesandterritories/vaticancity/index.html?inline=nyt-geo) — Pope Benedict XVI (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/b/benedict_xvi/index.html?inline=nyt-per) on Tuesday called for a radical rethinking of the global economy, criticizing a growing divide between rich and poor and urging the establishment of a “true world political authority” to oversee the economy and work for the “common good.”
He criticized the current economic system, “where the pernicious effects of sin are evident,” and urged financiers in particular to “rediscover the genuinely ethical foundation of their activity.”
He also called for “greater social responsibility” on the part of business.
More than two years in the making, “Caritas in Veritate,” or “Charity in Truth,” is Benedict’s third encyclical since he became pope in 2005. Filled with terms like “globalization,” “market economy,” “outsourcing,” “labor unions” and “alternative energy,” it is not surprising that the Italian media reported that the Vatican was having difficulty translating the 144-page document into Latin.
Reportedly delayed to take into consideration the financial crisis, it was released by the Vatican on the eve of the Group of 8 (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/g/group_of_eight/index.html?inline=nyt-org) industrialized nations summit meeting, which opens in Italy on Wednesday, and before Benedict is expected to receive President Obama (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/o/barack_obama/index.html?inline=nyt-per) at the Vatican on Friday.
Benedict also called for a reform of the United Nations (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/u/united_nations/index.html?inline=nyt-org) so there could be a unified “global political body” that allowed the less powerful of the earth to have a voice, and he called on rich nations to help less fortunate ones.

Mountain View, Calif. — It’s summertime and the Terminator is back. A sci-fi movie thrill ride, “Terminator Salvation” (http://movies.nytimes.com/2009/05/21/movies/21term.html)comes complete with a malevolent artificial intelligence dubbed Skynet, a military R.&D. project that gained self-awareness and concluded that humans were an irritant — perhaps a bit like athlete’s foot — to be dispatched forthwith.
Today, artificial intelligence, once the preserve of science fiction writers and eccentric computer prodigies, is back in fashion and getting serious attention from NASA (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/n/national_aeronautics_and_space_administration/index.html?inline=nyt-org) and from Silicon Valley companies like Google (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/business/companies/google_inc/index.html?inline=nyt-org) as well as a new round of start-ups that are designing everything from next-generation search engines to machines that listen or that are capable of walking around in the world. A.I.’s new respectability is turning the spotlight back on the question of where the technology might be heading and, more ominously, perhaps, whether computer intelligence will surpass our own, and how quickly.

Nevertheless, robots guided by their own computer "brains'' now can pick up and peel bananas, land jumbo jets, steer cars through city traffic, search human DNA for cancer genes, play soccer or the violin, find earthquake victims or explore craters on Mars.
At a "Robobusiness" conference in Boston last week, companies demonstrated a robot firefighter, gardener, receptionist, tour guide and security guard.

Free will (http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg19025504.000-free-will--you-only-think-you-have-it.html), or at least the place where we decide to act, is sited in a part of the brain called the parietal cortex, new research suggests.
When a neurosurgeon electrically jolted this region in patients undergoing surgery, they felt a desire to, say, wiggle their finger, roll their tongue or move a limb. Stronger electrical pulses convinced patients they had actually performed these movements, although their bodies remained motionless.
"What it tells us is there are specific brain regions that are involved in the consciousness of your movement," says Angela Sirigu (http://www.isc.cnrs.fr/sir/Sirigu_Research_Biography-1.pdf) (pdf format), a neuroscientist at the CNRS Cognitive Neuroscience Centre in Bron, France, who led the study.

LAST DAYS – 3 minutes before 12 o’clock
When I read the news articles on the Pope and a New World Economic Order, I realized that it is indeed 3 minutes before 12 o’clock, with 12 o’clock the Second Coming of our beloved Jesus Christ.
The Pope openly and in writing asked for a New World Economic Order, something that never happened before in the history of man.

If I look at the situation in the Middle East, it is very tense and the region is ready for a peace treaty, which might be the revealing of the Final Antichrist, we must pray and watch carefully.
My view point is that the Final Antichrist is already a mature grown-up man, ready to be revealed by the world powers, when the time is right.
We always suspected that the Vatican and the Pope are involved in the final End Time prophesies, yesterday it was confirmed by the Pope himself.
We as Christians must prepare ourselves to meet our Lord any day, that day is known only by the Father in Heaven.
Daniel 12.4 has been fulfilled, the Last Days started in 1989.
Daniel 2 and 7 have been fulfilled, the Revived Roman Empire and the New World Order were created in 1993.
The prophesies of Jesus himself in Matt 24:3-14 have been fulfilled:
· Constant war around the world
· 1 000 million people of the world population of 6 500 million are hungry
· 5 000 people die weekly of flue
· HIV / AIDS pandemic
· +6.0 earthquakes rose with 40% since 1990 (1 year after 1989)
The First Seal of Revelations, the White Horse was opened in 1987 with the strengthening of the New Age Movement.
The Third Seal is already opened:
• 53% of the world population lives on less that US $2 per day
• 200 million workers live in extreme poverty
The world clock is moving fast towards 12 o’clock.

Thanks for this Roelof, very interesting stuff. As I live in the United States and am familiar with the "Terminator" series of movies and shows I found all this very interesting. This statement I found the most interesting of all: "It's conceivable, he [Rattner] added, that "machines could even overtake humans in their ability to reason in the not-so-distant future.'' It just makes me wonder if machines, like in shows, will view humans as a threat to themselves and the survival of the planet and then take the necessary measures to either enslave us or eradicate us. With machines nearing that capability it makes me more convinced the End is near as I don't see God letting technology exceed man in the Bible. I see a very short timeline unfolding.

Tehran is braced for renewed violence tomorrow as the regime’s opponents attempt to stage fresh demonstrations to mark the tenth anniversary of the student uprising of 1999.
The opposition sees the anniversary as a chance to show that it has not been crushed by the regime’s use of overwhelming force, and the demonstrators are planning to thwart the security forces by gathering in eight or nine places before converging on Enghelab (Revolution) Square. Demonstrations are also planned in several other cities.

National healthcare will be a major issue in the New World Order. The SA government is also pushing for a new system - Roelof
BOSTON (Reuters) - Within Washington's tangled debate over how to reform healthcare, many are looking to Massachusetts, a state that could offer both a way forward and a warning.
As President Barack Obama (http://www.reuters.com/news/globalcoverage/barackobama) and Congress work to revamp a wasteful national system which leaves millions uninsured, attention has turned to Massachusetts' ambitious three-year-old program to cover almost all of its 6.4 million people.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran (http://www.reuters.com/news/globalcoverage/iran) will not back down "even one step" over its nuclear work, a senior adviser to the country's top authority said in remarks published on Thursday, making clear Tehran's continued defiance in a row with the West.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Wednesday Group of Eight major powers would give Iran (http://www.reuters.com/news/globalcoverage/iran) until September to accept negotiations over its nuclear ambitions or else face tougher sanctions.
Ali Akbar Velayati, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's top adviser on international affairs, said Western countries did not want the Islamic state to have peaceful nuclear activities, state broadcaster IRIB said on its website.

All are very good reasons for a New World Order - Roelof
California is the poster child for dysfunctional state finance. A week past the legal deadline for passing a budget, the state has yet to close a $26 billion hole. State workers are — yet again — being told to stay home. The National Park Service is threatening to take back parks it gave to California should the state try to save money by closing them. Taxpayers are getting IOUs in the mail instead of refund checks since there's no cash to pay them what they're owed. You can now buy the IOUs on eBay.
In Washington, 40,000 people are losing their state-subsidized health care, and public-college tuition could be going up as much as 14%.
And there could be plenty more pain ahead. Revenues — from income, sales and property taxes — continue to fall. True, states have already plowed through a lot of tough decisions to close the $102 billion shortfall they collectively faced during the last budget cycle. But already it looks like this year's gap will be $121 billion, according to a report from the National Conference of State Legislatures.
The typical state now gets 36% of its funding from personal-income tax
And then there are the long-term obligations — those big, hulking costs that, much as society may value them, eventually weigh on states' financial health. In New York, unfunded state pension liabilities average $2,633 per person. Massachusetts' tab is even larger, at $3,372 per capita, although that's nothing compared to New Jersey's $9,833.

It appears that Israel stands alone against Iran - Roelof
The leaders of the G-8 countries meeting in the Italian mountain town of L'Aquila issued an unusually tough statement on Iran's post-election crackdown Wednesday night, calling on the regime to respect the rule of law and human rights. But when it came to Tehran's nuclear program, which President Barack Obama sees as the overriding strategic issue between the U.S. and Iran, the leaders struck a milder tone, urging negotiations and underscoring Iran's rights to a civilian nuclear program. It was the clearest indication yet that despite the post-election violence in Iran, President Obama intends to stick to his strategy of offering carrots first, then sticks, for handling Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Will the state subsidize abortion, which is planned murder, except for medical reasons? - Roelof
Should government-subsidized health coverage pay for abortion procedures? For more than three decades, that question had seemed pretty much settled. The Hyde Amendment, passed by the House on Sept., 30, 1976, forbade Medicaid — a program for poor people, jointly administered by Washington and the states, which had, up till then, paid for about 300,000 abortions a year — from using any federal money to pay for the procedure. All but 17 states followed suit, banning use of their own funds as well; with a few modifications, the ban has stood up ever since.
The prospect of sweeping health reform, however, has reopened the issue. While current versions of the legislation do not address the abortion issue at all, late last month, 19 antiabortion Democrats in the House sent a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, warning that they "cannot support any health-care-reform proposal unless it explicitly excludes abortion from the scope of any government-defined or subsidized health-insurance plan."

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A state official says seven South Korean Web sites are under renewed cyber attack.
Ku Kyo-young from the state-run Korea Communications Commission said the latest assault began around 6:30 p.m. (0930 GMT, 5:30 a.m. EDT ) Thursday.
He said one of the affected sites belongs to the government, the other six are private. Some are still working normally despite the attacks.
Earlier Thursday, the country's leading computer security company warned that another wave of cyber attacks was expected later in the day.
South Korea's spy agency suspects North Korea is behind the series of attacks that have triggered Web site outages in South Korea and the United States.

Pope calls for a New World Order
POPE Benedict XVI has proposed a new world political authority "with real teeth", possibly in place of the United Nations, to enforce an ethical financial order and end the global financial crisis.
Calling for more aid, a bigger role for trade unions and an economic system aimed at the common good as well as profit, the Pope said only a moral market could end the crisis and solve world poverty.
The proposals were in his long-awaited encyclical - the second-highest level of papal teaching - released in Rome yesterday morning Australian time, before the G8 leaders gathered in Italy to discuss the global crisis.
The conviction that the economy must be autonomous and shielded from moral influences had led humanity to abuse the economic process in a destructive way, the Pope said in the encyclical Caritas in Veritate (Love in Truth).

My view point is that the Final Tribulation has already started in some parts of the world. This is building up to a climax, which might be seven years long, according to the prophesies of Daniel
The next major Biblical event will be the revealing of the Antichrist, when and who it is, I do not know.
Do not forget the Rapture as well - Roelof
New Spirit Filled Life Bible on Rev 7:14:
Expressing a continuous and repeated action, not a once-for-all action. Therefore tribulation is to some degree taking place throughout the entire Church Age.
The Great Tribulation describes the acceleration and intensification of troublesome times as the Church Age comes to and end, climaxing with the Rapture and Second Coming of Christ.
THE GREAT TRIBULATION— a short but intense period of distress and suffering at the end of time. The exact phrase, “the great tribulation,” is found only once in the Bible (Rev. 7:14). The great tribulation fulfills Daniel’s prophecies (Daniel 7–12). It will be a time of evil from false christs and false prophets (Mark 13:22) when natural disasterswill occur throughout the world.
If we study the fulfilling of the signs for the Last Days, with particular attention to the mocking of the Holy Word, the rejecting of the Virgin Birth of Christ, the rejecting of His resurrection, New Age philosophies, liberation theology, the killing and persecution of Christians in India, Asia, Ossira, North Korea, or Sudan and many other parts of the world, I am convinced that the Great Tribulation already started in some parts of the world.

Let us pray that the world-wide recession will end soon - Roelof
Rising unemployment rates seem to trigger more suicides and murders, US and European investigators reported in The Lancet. But government initiatives designed to keep people on the job or get people back to work can help, they say.
Dr David Stuckler, University of Oxford, UK, and colleagues looked at how economic changes have affected death rates in 26 European Union (EU) countries over the past three decades, and identified how governments might reduce the harmful effects of economic downturns.
They found that for every 1% increase in unemployment, there was roughly a 0.8% rise in suicide rates in people younger than age 65. This translates into between 60 and 550 extra suicides per year across the EU in times of economic crisis.
Murder rates also rose 0.8% for every 1% increase in unemployment - or between three and 80 potential excess homicide deaths across Europe.
Both these effects were seen mostly in working-age people.

Iran is at a crossroads. America is ignoring it. Germany isn’t.
In the broad scheme, Iran’s star is rising. It is ready to seize the advantage from a fading United States in both Iraq and Afghanistan. In fact, it has effectively neutralized the long-standing threat from the U.S. It has prepared its terrorist proxies in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip for a future attack on Israel. It is about to go nuclear. Many long-held dreams of Iran’s radicals appear about to come true.
And yet, trouble stirs at home. Cracks in the ayatollah’s power have appeared. After allegations of fraud sullied last month’s presidential election, the streets filled with angry protest. The government cracked down; the unrest mostly dispersed. But last Friday, Iran’s biggest group of clerics defied the ayatollah and declared Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s victory illegitimate. “It’s a clerical mutiny,” an Iranian analyst told the London Times (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article6644817.ece). “This is the first time ever you have all these big clerics openly challenging the leader’s decision” (emphasis mine).

The European Union is part of the Revived Roman Empire - Roelof
The Roman Catholic Church has been one of the most powerful forces over the past two millennia to “interfere,” with every means at its disposal, “in the politics of states.”
Even this present pope has been quite overt in his “interference” in the politics of the State of Israel.

NEW WORLD ORDER (NWO) – BORN IN 1993
From history it can be established that the European Union (EU) was born in 1993 in Maastricht, Netherlands. I will explain later that the EU is the core of the fourth and final empire, namely the New World Order, in the prophesy of Daniel,
The European Union (EU) is an economic and political union of 27 member states, located primarily in Europe. It was established by the Treaty of Maastricht on 1 Nov 1993, upon the foundations of the pre-existing European Economic Community (EEC)..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union)
Then in 1993, the New World Order was established as a legitimate national agenda - by a socialist Democrat, Bill Clinton.
http://www.jeremiahproject.com/newworldorder/ (http://www.jeremiahproject.com/newworldorder/)
Very interesting that the last katun in the Mayan calendar started in 1993 and will end in 2012
The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesoamerican_Long_Count_calendar) forms the basis for a New Age (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Age) belief, first forecast by José Argüelles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Arg%C3%BCelles), that a cataclysm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cataclysm) will take place on or about December 21, 2012 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Doomsday_prediction),
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayan_Calendar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayan_Calendar)
I regard 1989 as the year the Last Days started. The Last Days is the short period just before the Second Coming of Christ. The End Times started when Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven.
The beginning of the current 28 year cycle was 1989 AD, which was 71 of the 28 year cycles after Jesus Christ was born. The World Wide Web (Internet) was created in 1989by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in Switzerland. This led to an explosion of knowledge, as prophesized by Daniel.
“Daniel was then told to protect the message received so that it could be read in later times. The time of the end is aptly described as a day when knowledge shall be increased, namely our modern computer era.” (Daniel 12:4, KJV Bible Commentary)
http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv195/Roelof_bucket/Daniel4_free.gif
The fourth empire in the prophesies of Daniel
In order to understand the end time world government we need to look at biblical prophecy. The prophet Daniel saw a vision of a great statue (Dan 2:31-35) and was told its interpretation (Dan 2:36-43). The statue symbolised four great empires that would reign over Israel. These were the historic Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Greek and Roman empires, the Roman Empire being symbolised by the statue's legs of iron and its feet of iron mixed with clay. Some see the iron legs symbolising the eastern and western empires of ancient Rome. Daniel also had a vision of 'four great beasts' representing four great kingdoms (Dan 7:1-8), and again these can be identified as the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Greek and Roman Empires. The important point here is that the fourth and final empire in Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 refers both to historic Rome and to an end time world empire or world government. The visions extend to an empire that rules the world!
This final world empire will be an alliance with ten other world authorities or governments(Rev 17:12,13). In fact, Daniel sees a 'world dictator' associated with this final kingdom (Dan 7:24,25).
http://www.seekingtruth.co.uk/world_government.htm (http://www.seekingtruth.co.uk/world_government.htm)
The creation of the European Union in 1993 as the fourth empire started the fulfilling of this prophesy.
The European Union is already building on its own army.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Tom Campbell aims to become governor of California after serving as the state's finance director, arguably the kind of job experience the state's cash-strapped government could use in its top office.
But there are no easy scenarios that will lead to a resolution of the state's budget crisis, Campbell said in an interview on Thursday.
Recession and rising unemployment are hammering California, the world's eighth-largest economy, and have opened a historic $26.3 billion state budget gap.
The deficit could be plugged if state leaders truly feared the state tipping into a financial abyss, said Campbell, who also has been a state lawmaker, U.S. House representative and University of California, Berkeley business school dean.

SEOUL (Reuters) - Cyber attacks slowing U.S. and South Korean websites could enter a new phase on Friday by attacking personal computers and wiping out hard disks, a South Korean government agency and web security firm said.
North Korea was originally a prime suspect for launching the cyber attacks, but the isolated state was not named on a list of websites from five countries where the attacks may have originated, the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) said.
The attacks targeting dozens of government and business sites in South Korea and the United States did not cause major damage or security breaches, experts said, but the KCC warned a new phase at 1500 GMT on Friday could cause severe damage to PCs.
"The affected computers will not be able to boot and their storage files will be disabled," said Lee Byung-cheol of Ahnlab.
The KCC said host websites believed behind the original attacks were based in Germany, Austria, Georgia, the United States and South Korea. The location of the hackers behind the attacks was still unknown, it said.

... the great Western heresy -- that we can be saved as individuals, that any of us alone can be in right relationship with God. It's caricatured in some quarters by insisting that salvation depends on reciting a specific verbal formula about Jesus. That individualist focus is a form of idolatry, for it puts me and my words in the place that only God can occupy, at the center of existence, as the ground of being. That heresy is one reason for the theme of this Convention.

According to this article, a prototype coin was given to each of the G-8 members to represent the hope of a global world currency, and uniting the European and U.S. currencies. The coin is called the Euro-Dollar, and I'd like you all to take particular note of the tree design on the back side of the coin, which shows five different types of leaves. The designer is calling it The Tree of Life. On the other side of the coin is the motto Unity in Diversity. The first link takes you to the designing company's website, which shows pictures and descriptions of the coin. There is interesting information there regarding bar-coding paper currency, as well. The second link is to an article about how they were given out at the G-8 summit.

Hi, everyone! Here is some interesting information about the G-8 summit that just took place in Italy. According to this article, a prototype coin was given to each of the G-8 members to represent the hope of a global world currency, and uniting the European and U.S. currencies. The coin is called the Euro-Dollar, and

If I look at current world events: the Pope openly supporting a New World Economic Order, the introduction of the proposed world currency, the Eurodollar at the G8, Obama supporting a New World Order and many other events, there is a high probability that we could have a full-blown New World Order by the end of 2012. NEW WORLD ORDER (NWO) – DESCRIPTION
New world order
In international relations theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_relations_theory), the term "new world order" has been used to refer to a new period of history evidencing a dramatic change in world political thought and the balance of power (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balance_of_power_in_international_relations). Despite various interpretations of this term, it is primarily associated with the notion of global governance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_governance) only in the sense of new collective efforts to identify, understand, or address worldwide problems that go beyond the capacity of individual states to solve.
The Malta Conference on December 2–3, 1989 reinvigorated discussion of the new world order. Various new concepts arose in the press as elements on the new order. Commentators expected the replacement of containment with superpower cooperation. This cooperation might then tackle problems such as reducing armaments and troop deployments, settling regional disputes, stimulating economic growth, lessening East-West trade restrictions, the inclusion of the Soviets in international economic institutions, and protecting the environment.
I regard 1989 as the year the Last Days started. The Last Days is the short period just before the Second Coming of Christ. The End Times started when Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven – Roelof
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_world_order (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_world_order)
New World Order (conspiracy theory)
In conspiracy theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory), the term "New World Order" (the capital letters are distinguishing) refers to the advent of a cryptocratic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptocratic) or totalitarian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Totalitarian) one world government (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_government).
The common theme in conspiracy theories about a New World Order is that a powerful and secretive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secretive) group of globalists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globalist) is conspiring (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_(political)) to eventually rule the world through an autonomous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomy) world government, which would replace sovereign (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereignty) states and other checks and balances (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Checks_and_balances) in international power struggles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_in_international_relations). Significant occurrences in politics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics) and finance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finance_capitalism) are speculated to be caused by an extremely influential cabal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabal) operating through many front organizations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Front_organization). Numerous historical and current events are seen as steps in an on-going plot to achieve world domination (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_domination) primarily through secret political gatherings and decision-making processes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoke-filled_room).
In his 11 September (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11) 1990 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990) "Toward a New World Order" speech (full text (http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Toward_a_New_World_Order)) to a joint session of the United States Congress (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Congress), President George H. W. Bush described his administration's objectives for post-Cold-War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-Cold_War_era) global governance in cooperation with post-Soviet states (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-Soviet_states):

A government crackdown on doctors and nurses who offer to pray with patients is drawing a response from physicians at a meeting this week of the British Medical Association.
"I think it is getting to the point where many of us feel we cannot talk to patients about their spiritual or religious needs or ask them about praying," Dr. Bernadette Birtwhistle, a cancer specialist, told a BBC reporter.
"Christianity is being seen as something that is unhelpful," she said. "… Freedom of speech is being curtailed too much, and I don't think that is always in the benefit of patients."

The number of unemployed workers in the US is nearly double the population of New York city, how sad - Roelof
NEW YORK (Reuters) - With U.S. unemployment at a 20-year high, some Americans are working for free while looking for a job, but experts are split over whether it is a sign of dedication or desperation.
Unpaid job seekers can keep their resumes fresh by boosting their experience and learning new skills, experts say, but others warn businesses may take advantage of the jobless and that it is illegal for commercial companies not to pay workers.
Dana Lin, 22, is one of the 14.7 million unemployed workers in the United States.

Biography matters
During the campaign, Obama told American voters that his election, as the first black president of goatherd ancestry and foreign upbringing, could itself change geopolitical dynamics.
If it's good for the South Side, it's good for the world
Nothing has been so central to the president's foreign policy approach than the theoretical lessons he learned as a community organizer in Chicago
Pragmatism should often trump idealism
Compared with the relatively Panglossian vision of George W. Bush, who sought to remake whole parts of the world under the banner of American moral authority, Obama brings a more conservative, cynical view to the question of when nations should act on idealistic impulses.
America is one of many nations
The United States continues to boast the largest, most powerful military in the world, and a Gross Domestic Product nearly twice as large as the next biggest national economy, China. But Obama has made a point, stop after stop, of noting that America's fate is tied to the fate of developing nations.
Young people matter
As president, Obama has adopted the mantle of chief youth inspirer. At almost every stop, Obama makes an appeal to young people, often addressing them directly through television cameras.

As the death toll increased, the World Health Organisation official said a swine flu vaccine should be available as early as September and all countries would need to be able to protect themselves.

OBAMA AND THE NEW AGE
In “One On One: Regulating the Pursuit of Self” (Jerusalem Post, February 4, 2009), Amitai Etzioni states: “There is no philosophy that better describes Obama’s position than Communitarianism,” which Etzioni defines as a term “that would speak for community and the common good.”
As I’ve mentioned numerous times before, the Power Elite (PE) uses crises to move us toward its ultimate goal of a World Socialist Government.
I referred to 2012 as the year New Agers believe the Piscean (Christian) Age will end and the Age of Aquarius will begin.
Then compare it to McLaughlin’s and Gordon Davidson’s 2008 article, “The Spiritual Dimensions of Obama’s Leadership (http://www.visionarylead.org/print/obama.htm).” This work begins with the New Age authors contending that “in this moment of historical crisis, another great leader, uniquely qualified to meet the needs of our nation and the world, has come forth, overlighted by Spirit…. He is a catalyst dropped into a supersaturated solution…
And in “New Age America Is Entranced By Obama’s Electoral Aura” (The Guardian, July 3, 2008),

When I was a liberal I loved mocking the Bible. I'd get giddy arguing with conservatives over Bible stories that to me were ludicrous. One example is the biblical account of Moses parting the Red Sea to help the Israelites escape Pharaoh’s pursuing army. Boy did I scoff at that one! I categorized Christians who bought into the miraculous signs and wonders in the Bible as “unenlightened twits.”
As I mentioned earlier (part one (http://www.newswithviews.com/West/marsha183.htm)) liberals prefer the term “progressive Christian” (PC) but a horse by any other name is still a horse. Most PCs don’t believe the Bible’s miracles are true. To them the Bible’s simply an ancient book of historical writings and moral precepts. The biblical accounts are largely legends, myths and fables. On the other hand, orthodox Christianity holds that God speaks to us through Scripture, hence it is the infallible, inerrant Word of God and is objective (absolute) truth.
PCs reject the notion that the Bible is infallible and inerrant but accept that it has some truth sprinkled throughout. When a PC comes to accept the orthodox view of Christianity, his or her worldview crumbles. (Mine did.)
Here’s cold hard fact: most PCs align themselves with the popular culture’s view of morality, social issues, psychology, politics, and whatnot. They do not cotton to a God who’s inflexible, nor do they accept that in the future He will judge all mankind and that those who reject Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Hell. No way, they say! All of mankind will ultimately be saved through Jesus even if they reject Him as their Savior in this life.

And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years. (Gen 1:14)
Shmita (Hebrew (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_language): שמיטה, literally "release"), also called the Sabbatical Year, is the seventh year of the seven-year agricultural cycle mandated by the Torah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torah) for the Land of Israel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of_Israel). It is the year the land must rest.
And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in the middle. (Luk 23:45)
And crying with a loud voice, Jesus said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. And when He had said this, He breathed out the spirit. (Luk 23:46)

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah. (Joe 2:31)
Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, cruel and with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land waste; and He shall destroy its sinners out of it. (Isa 13:9)
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations shall not give light; the sun shall be darkened in its going forth, and the moon shall not reflect its light. (Isa 13:10)
2014/15
The Sabbatical year Sep. 2014 – Sep. 2015 will have 2 solar eclipses and 4 lunar eclipses. This will happen on Biblical or Jewish holidays. The four lunar eclipses will occur on: Passover, 15 April 2014; The Feast of Tabernacles, 8 October 2014; Passover, 4 April 2015 and The Feast of Tabernacles, 28 September 2015. It will not happen again for hundreds of years. Two solar eclipses will occur on: Adar 29/Nisan 1, 20 March 2015; The Feast of Trumpets, 13 September 2015. Nisan 1 marks the beginning of the religious festival cycle. On Tishri 1, the Jews observe Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets. This day is highly prophetic, because it is said to be the anniversary of the Creation of Adam. It is Adam’s birthday.
“What is God telling Israel through the upcoming lunar eclipses?” Is it possible that these are fulfilling biblical prophecies? I don’t know when the Second Coming of Christ will be. We must WATCH and be ready.

At $1.95 trillion, China's international reserves are more than enough to fund America's entire budget deficit next year, which the U.S. Treasury estimates will reach $1.3 trillion because of the government's massive stimulus spending. There is no direct correlation between these two numbers, but they highlight a reversal of fortune. China now has the cash to cherry-pick the world's best assets, while America has no choice but to pawn its future to finance today's needs. As it is, China already own $763.5 billion worth of U.S. Treasury bills, 24% of the total, and has become the Federal Government's largest single creditor.
It's all causing angst and hostility, and not only in the U.S., where congressmen shot down an $18 billion bid by Beijing-backed oil company CNOOC for Unocal in 2005. In Australia last month, aluminum maker Chinalco's $19.5 billion purchase of miner Rio Tinto collapsed in part because of political opposition. In Germany last year, there were murmurings against China Development Bank's $13.5 billion purchase of Dresdner Bank, which eventually faltered.
These high-profile failures notwithstanding, the Chinese are actually notching up notable success in overseas-asset purchases. Data compiled by the Heritage Foundation show a dramatic increase in the volume of the country's completed megadeals, worth $100 million or more, over the past three-and-a-half years. From $8.7 billion in 2005, these large acquisitions rose to $20 billion in 2006, $36.2 billion in 2007 and $54 billion in 2008.
The new rules may further boost investment in U.S. property. According to the U.S. National Association of Realtors, mainland Chinese were the fourth-largest group of foreign buyers in the 12 months to May 2008, picking up posh homes mainly in California and Florida at a median price of $450,000, the highest paid by foreign purchasers.
Beijing is also getting antsy about keeping the bulk of its money in U.S.

Back in early January, when Obama was still President-elect, two of his chief economic advisers, and leading proponents of a stimulus bill, predicted that the passage of a large economic-aid package would boost the economy and keep the unemployment rate below 8%. It hasn't quite worked out that way. Last month, the jobless rate in America hit 9.5%, the highest level it has reached since 1983.
The two advisers who wrote the paper, Christina Romer and Jared Bernstein, went on to land key jobs in Obama's Administration. Romer is the head of Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, Bernstein is the chief economist and economic-policy adviser to Vice President Biden.
A little over a month ago, the Administration said the stimulus bill had created or saved 150,000 jobs. That's a far cry from the 3 million to 4 million jobs that Romer and Bernstein foresaw back in January.

Now, some of the Israeli soldiers who took part say they were urged by commanders to shoot first and worry later about sorting out civilians from combatants. Accordingly, they say, the force went into Gaza with guns blazing.
In print and video testimony published on Wednesday by the activist group Breaking the Silence, the 30 soldiers say the Israeli army's imperative was to minimize its own casualties to ensure Israeli public support for the operation.

President Barack Obama has concluded that Israel and the Palestinians are unlikely to achieve peace unless they're under external pressure to make the requisite compromises. Believing that a two-state solution is in the best interests of both parties and that time is running out for such a solution, the President is stepping up the pressure on both sides. That was Obama's message at a White House meeting on July 13 with representatives of leading Jewish-American organizations, some of whom have lately complained that the President is unfairly pressuring Israel to make concessions on West Bank settlements, while going easy on the Palestinians.

When will they try to stop "In God we trust" on the US dollar?
As soon as we get a new currency, which will most likely be in the next half decade in my opinion.
I would almost guarantee when the dollar goes, any signs of God on currency goes as well.

I like it when God does something that baffles scientists. Science seems so full of pride these days. We think we understand this universe, but I think we hardly have a clue.
I'm also on the lookout for strange physical happenings that might indicate God is up to something.
Interesting news from the town of Homer alaska:
Like a giant fist punching through the earth, a 1,000-foot long section of the beach below Bluff Point rose up 20 feet from the tidelands sometime last Friday or late Thursday, pushing boulders up from the ocean bottom, cracking sandstone slabs and toppling rocks upside down.
It would take an earthquake over magnitude 7 to cause an uplift that high, said Peter Haeussler, a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Anchorage.

BIBLICAL PROPHESY OF DANIEL 12:4
“Daniel was then told to protect the message received so that it could be read in later times. The time of the end is aptly described as a day when knowledge shall be increased, namely our modern computer era.” (Daniel 12:4, KJV Bible Commentary)
FULFILLING OF DANIEL 12:4
The World Wide Web (Internet) was created in 1989 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in Switzerland. This led to an explosion of knowledge, asprophesized by Daniel.
The Last Days started in 1989.
ESCHATOLOGY (LAST DAYS)
The study of what will happen when all things are consummated at the end of history, particularly centering on the event known as the Second Coming of Christ. The word comes from two Greek words, eschatos (last) and logos (study) — thus its definition as "the study of last things." (Nelson Illustrated Bible Dictionary)

Health care will be a major issue in the New World Order (NWO) - Roelof
Washington - President Barack Obama achieved a milestone on Wednesday when a Senate committee approved a plan to revamp the US health care system.
The Senate panel's action, which attracted no Republican votes, came as the president's campaign organisation rolled out television ads to build support for his top domestic priority.
Obama met with Republicans at the White House in search of an elusive bipartisan compromise on his call to expand coverage to the nearly 50 million uninsured Americans as well as restrain spending increases in health care.
Unlike other developed nations, the United States does not have a comprehensive national health care programme for all its citizens.

Arkansas - A woman who says she was a child bride of evangelist Tony Alamo told jurors on Wednesday that the minister had so many partners that he had to schedule when he would have sex with them.
The woman, now 30, said she was a third-generation Alamo follower into adulthood - until the Arkansas-based pastor took an 8-year-old as his latest bride. At one point, the woman said, Alamo told her graphically how he fondled the girl as she held a stuffed animal - and she raised concerns about his actions.
"He told me to shut up and that I shouldn't question what 'the Lord told me to do,"' the woman said.

(I am expecting an Israeli strike on Iran nuclear plants for a while now - Roelof
Two Israeli missile class warships have sailed through the Suez Canal ten days after a submarine capable of launching a nuclear missile strike, in preparation for a possible attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The deployment into the Red Sea, confirmed by Israeli officials, was a clear signal that Israel was able to put its strike force within range of Iran at short notice. It came before long-range exercises by the Israeli air force in America later this month and the test of a missile defence shield at a US missile range in the Pacific Ocean.
Israel has strengthened ties with Arab nations who also fear a nuclear-armed Iran

Does anyone know where WW3 fits in End Time prophesies? - Roelof
It is the toughest decision that any Israeli leader has had to make in living memory. Ordering a pre-emptive attack against Iran’s nuclear sites would plunge the country into war with a powerful enemy. The region would be thrown into turmoil and the resources of Israel’s military would be stretched — with no guarantee of success.
An attack would isolate the country and jeopardise relations with America, Israel’s most important ally. Yet Israelis across the political spectrum are prepared to support a strike if it means preventing Tehran from acquiring a nuclear bomb; something most experts believe is only months away.
How the operation is carried out will probably not be known until it happens, but recent airstrikes against Syria and Sudan suggest that it would include the bulk of Israel’s formidable air force. It would mean crossing “friendly” Arab airspace, the use of unmanned drones and maybe even special forces on the ground.
An American “green light” would be necessary, particularly since any attack would have to pass through airspace controlled by the US military over Iraq and the Gulf.

From Time Magazine:
The ancient Israelites got straightforward guidance from Scripture on how to handle people who didn't worship Israel's god, Yahweh. "You shall annihilate them — the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites — just as the Lord your God has commanded."
The point of this exercise, explained the Book of Deuteronomy, was to make sure the "abhorrent" religions of nearby peoples didn't rub off on Israelites.
Muslims, who like Christians and Jews worship the God who revealed himself to Abraham, are counseled in one part of the Koran to "kill the polytheists wherever you find them." But another part prescribes a different stance toward unbelievers, "To you be your religion; to me my religion."
You'd think the Abrahamic God would make up his mind — Can he live with other gods or not? What's with the random mood fluctuations?
But the fluctuations aren't really random. If you juxtapose the Abrahamic Scriptures with what scholars have learned about the circumstances surrounding their creation, a pattern appears. Certain kinds of situations inspired tolerance, and other kinds inspired the opposite. You might even say this pattern is a kind of code, a code that is hidden in the Scriptures and that, once revealed, unlocks the secret of God's changing moods.
Maybe the hidden code in the Bible and the Koran, the code that links Scriptural content to context, could even help mend the most dangerous of intra-Abrahamic fault lines, the one between Muslims and Jews.
The first step in seeing this code is to look to the world that gave us the Hebrew Bible (what Christians call the Old Testament) and the Koran — the world that embedded the code in them. There we'll see how consequential God's mood changes could be — how, indeed, a burst of vengeful intolerance helped give us monotheism itself; we'll see that the birth of monotheism left us with what you might call a bad God.
But we'll also see that this God then had bursts of moral growth — within both Judaism and Islam — and that the proven ingredients of that growth are around today, just when another such burst is needed.

A deal taking shape between Israel and Western leaders will facilitate international support for an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities in exchange for concessions in peace negotiations with the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, The Times reported Thursday.

The report in the UK paper quoted unnamed diplomats as saying Israel was prepared to offer concessions on the formation of a Palestinian state as well as on its settlement policy and on "issues" with Arab neighbors, in exchange for international backing for an Israeli operation in Iran.

The recent unemployment numbers have undermined confidence that we might be nearing the bottom of the recession. What we can see on the surface is disconcerting enough, but the inside numbers are just as bad.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics preliminary estimate for job losses for June is 467,000, which means 7.2 million people have lost their jobs since the start of the recession. The cumulative job losses over the last six months have been greater than for any other half year period since World War II, including the military demobilization after the war. The job losses are also now equal to the net job gains over the previous nine years, making this the only recession since the Great Depression to wipe out all job growth from the previous expansion.
Factories are operating at only 65% of capacity
Job losses may last well into 2010 to hit an unemployment peak close to 11%. That unemployment rate may be sustained for an extended period.
Here are 10 reasons we are in even more trouble than the 9.5% unemployment rate indicates:

THE LAST DAYS AND THE El Niño PHENOMENON
My research shows that the Last Days started in 1989.
Even the El Niño phenomenon protracted after the start of the Last Days in 1989.
The beauty is that the Lord is still in control.
El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO; commonly referred to as simply El Niño),, is a global coupled ocean-atmosphere phenomenon. The Pacific Ocean signatures, El Niño and La Niña, are important temperature fluctuations in surface waters of the tropical Eastern Pacific Ocean (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Ocean). The name El Niño, from the Spanish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_language) for "the little boy", refers to the Christ child (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ_child), because the phenomenon is usually noticed around Christmas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas) time in the Pacific Ocean off the west coast of South America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_America).[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Ni%C3%B1o#cite_note-DFG-0) La Niña, similarly, means "the little girl".
New capabilities to predict the onset of ENSO events can have global socio-economic impacts. While ENSO is a natural part of the Earth's climate, an important concern is whether its intensity or frequency may change as a result of global warming (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming). Low-frequency variability has been evidenced; interdecadal modulation of ENSO from the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Decadal_Oscillation) (PDO) or the Interdecadal Pacific Oscillation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Decadal_Oscillation) (IPO) might exist. This could explain the so-called protracted ENSO of the early 1990s.

Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court (http://www.bundesverfassungsgericht.de/en/index.html) recently ruled that the Lisbon Treaty is compatible with the German constitution.
EU leaders are so relieved Berlin said ja to Lisbon that they appear to have given little thought to a colossal caveat attached to the ruling.
He means this: Before Germany ratifies the Lisbon Treaty, it must strengthen the German parliament’s influence on EU decisions made in Brussels. Therefore, a law is now being created that will demand members of the Bundestag approve any change to the Lisbon Treaty, or any expansion of EU power, before it can be imposed on Germany.
By nature, this law essentially equips Germany with the power to hijack the EU!

If numbers alone tell the story, then China appears to have beaten the odds. It has apparently shrugged off the worst global recession in at least 30 years — one that had, at the end of last year, crippled growth in a country for which exports are a critical part of its economic lifeblood. The government responded by announcing a $585 billion spending package (http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1857867,00.html), driven by massive infrastructure investments across the country, and, for now anyway, that policy is paying off. China announced today that its GDP in the second quarter grew at 7.9%, just a shade below the 8.1% goal the government set for growth in 2009. "The strong acceleration in underlying economic activity is now unmistakable," says Yu Song, a Goldman Sachs economist based in Hong Kong

A sign of the coming New World Order
Consider for a moment the following quotes. "Maintain humanity under 500 million in perpetual balance with nature," "Guide reproduction wisely encouraging fitness and diversity," and "let all nations rule internally, resolving external disputes in a world court." Sayings you may hear in popular circles today, or perhaps even the national media? Everywhere you turn, we are constantly bombarded with reports concerning obesity, abortion, global warming, diversity, and an ever growing world population. It may surprise you, however, to know that these quotes are not the headlines of a news paper article or even a twitter feed. Instead, these quotes originated from the Georgia Guidestones.
Revealed in 1980 in Elberton, Georgia, the Guidestones is a colossal 25,000 pound granite monument consisting of four 16-foot-high slabs surrounding a central column. Written in Babylonian cuneiform, Classical Greek, and Egyptian hieroglyphs this monument espouses its own ten commandments. Also written on the four sides of the capstone are the words, "Let these be Guidestones to An Age of Reason." Perhaps the creator of this memorial may have desired to leave its reader with the wisdom of creating a utopia here on earth, but some have taken the suggestions of the Guidestone to be a blue print for a New World Order. Termed as the ten commandments of the antichrist, the inscriptions are thought to be an esoteric proposal from a secret brotherhood for a new world society. However, they may simply be an elaborate hoax as well. Regardless, the words advocated on the monument are starting to have a ring of truth.
In an interview with ABC, speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi said, ""The family planning services reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs.
"One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government,"
Here are some statists that you may not have known. Within the US, black women are 3 times more likely than white women to seek an abortion. 64% of all abortions are performed on unwed mothers. 86% of all abortions are performed on women whose family income is less than $59,999 a year.

It appears that Obama is also working towards a New World Order, which should be in place by the end 2012 - Roelof
SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (AFP) — Leaders of the developing world were in Egypt for the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to discuss the effect of the global financial crisis on their countries.
But the organisation's 15th summit, attended by 55 heads of state, is likely to be overshadowed by talks on the sidelines between nuclear rivals India and Pakistan, both NAM members.
On Monday, during preparatory talks, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit said the summit aimed for "a new international order... in which nations (are not judged) by their size or military and economic capabilities."
Delegates at Monday and Tuesday's preparatory ministerial meetings indicated to AFP that the new US administration's departure from a policy of unilateral diplomacy could help to achieve that goal.
Founded in 1955, NAM's 118 member states represent around 56 percent of the global population.

Africa's new world order
Of the three legs of U.S. President Barack Obama's foreign trip last week -- to Moscow, the G-8 in l'Aquila, Italy, and Accra, Ghana -- the African stop was the most interesting and not just because of the symbolism.
In Ghana, Obama was neither competing with the ghost of Ronald Reagan, as he was in Russia, nor still slaying the ghost of George W. Bush (both economically and diplomatically) as he was in Italy.
Obama's broader message to the Ghanaian parliament was that no continent is an island in a new world so small that no island is an island anymore. "I see Africa as a fundamental part of our interconnected world," he said.

Iran may have an ace in the hole as Western governments weigh sanctions in response to the often violent crackdown on opposition demonstrators. The card Tehran is likely to play? China.
On July 13 Iran's Oil Ministry announced that it had China's agreement to invest about $40 billion in refining Iranian gasoline.
The Chinese deal would literally keep Iran's factories, homes and cars — in effect, a nation of 66 million people — running.
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1910669,00.html
This deal with China comes at a convenient time for Iran. Makes one wonder how far China would go to protect it's interests there.
How hard could it be to fit a few Iranian Shahab-3 or 4 missiles (which would easily reach Israel) with Chinese nuclear warheads. Don't necessarily have to be accurate to be effective.

The Rise of the King of the South
And at the end-time, the king of the south shall butt at him. And the king of the north shall come against him like a tempest, with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships. (Dan 11:40)
The Islamic Republic of Iran is the head of the international network of Islamic terrorism—the biblically prophesied “king of the south.” This radical network, as the scripture says, practices a “pushy,” or combative, foreign policy. Is there a better way to describe Iran?
Iran is gunning for the destruction of the Jewish state. It feeds Hamas in Gaza and the West Bank, Palestinian terrorist groups inside Israel, and Hezbollah in Lebanon. It has complicated American efforts in Iraq and is meddling in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Its nuclear weapons program is advancing rapidly, and it has been connected to the nuclear programs of both Syria and North Korea. Iran is the number-one threat to peace in Israel and the Middle East—in many ways, even worldwide.
Included in the audience at Cairo were members of the Muslim Brotherhood (mb), a radical Islamist group with terrorist roots and the primary political opposition to President Mubarak. The Egyptian daily Al-Masri al-Youm reported June 4 that Obama met with mb officials in Washington earlier this year. Certainly, Washington’s overtures toward the Brotherhood will not help Egypt’s president, who himself didn’t attend the June 4 speech.
The Palestinians also have good reason to celebrate Obama’s historic Muslim address. As we have often pointed out, the prophesied clash between the European king of the north and the Iran-led king of the south will primarily revolve around Jerusalem.

Breaking the Brotherhood
Then I broke My other staff Union apart, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. (Zec 11:14)
John Wesley:
Zec 11:14 - Then - So soon as I saw what value they put upon me. I cut asunder - Christ did it really, the prophet did it in the type. Break - Declare it broken. The brother - hood - That friendship which had been among them. Judah - The two tribes, and the remnant of the ten tribes.
Biblical history testifies to the familial relationship between Manasseh (America) and Judah (the Jewish people)—which explains the historic bond between these nations. Yet Bible prophecy says that in the end time this historic brotherhood would be severed. In Zechariah 11:14, God said He would “break the brotherhood between Judah [modern-day Israel] and Israel [primarily the United States and Britain].”
In fact, Jewish aspirations for statehood not only predate the Adolf Hitler era, they predate the Zionist movement. Their history in the territory on which their country is built goes back to biblical times
Palestinians have reinvented this history, claiming the Jews are without legal or historic right to their homeland and that modern-day Israel exists only because of Europe’s guilt after the Holocaust. In Cairo, President Obama legitimized this bit of Arab propaganda.
Nine years ago, President Bill Clinton and Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered the Palestinians 94 percent of the West Bank, all of East Jerusalem, and unrestricted control of the Temple Mount. In swift response, Nobel Prize winner Yasser Arafat unleashed a bloody five-year campaign of rockets, sniper fire and suicide bombings aimed primarily at civilians that killed more than 1,000 Jews.
President Obama went to Cairo in search of a “new beginning” in the relationship between the United States and the Muslim world. By doing so, the U.S. effectively ended its brotherly and strategically critical alliance with Israel. That “unbreakable” bond between America and Israel, the president’s assurances notwithstanding, is now broken. Israel knows it has been abandoned by the United States.

Israel Appeals to Germany for Help
When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then Ephraim went to the Assyrian and sent to King Jareb. Yet he could not heal you nor cure you of your wound. (Hos 5:13)
The Hosea 5:13 wound is the misnamed “peace” process. Since kicking off its land-for-peace strategy in Oslo in 1993, Israel has only suffered greater violence and death. The voids it has left by pulling out of southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip have been filled by Iran’s most lethal proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas. At least 1,500 Israeli citizens have been murdered by terrorists during this time. And with Hezbollah and Hamas furiously amassing a much deadlier arsenal, the body count will inevitably rise.
Still, President Obama is applying massive pressure on Israel to freeze all settlement growth and to cede more land to the Palestinians and Syrians.
This is why in Hosea, God says that Judah, after being mortally wounded by the peace process, will seek help from Assyria (Germany), rather than the United States. This prophecy provides further proof of America’s growing irrelevance in the world, particularly to its former ally Israel.

Jerusalem Split Down the Middle
For I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women raped. And half of the city shall go into exile, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.(Zec 14:2)
And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall divide from its middle, from the east and to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. (Zec 14:4)
According to this prophecy, a Hamas-dominated Palestinian insurgence, backed by Iran, will take half of Jerusalem by force shortly before the Messiah sets foot on the Mount of Olives (verse 4). Thus, we can deduce that Israel will not cave in to pressure from Washington and give away what little land it has left. As the U.S.- Israeli alliance has suffered, so too has America’s ability to dictate terms to Israel.
In his Cairo speech, President Obama increased expectations among Arabs that Jerusalem would be theirs. Meanwhile, a growing number of Israelis have lost faith in the land-for-peace strategy.

Britain was accused yesterday of dumping toxic household and industrial waste in developing countries on two continents in breach of an international convention.
The Government last night was considering tightening the enforcement of rules after the discovery of hazardous medical and electrical waste in Brazil and Ghana.
Hilary Benn, the Environment Secretary, ordered an investigation into two British companies linked to 90 shipping containers containing 1,400 tonnes of waste. They included syringes, condoms and nappies. The companies that received the waste — sent from Felixstowe to three Brazilian ports — said that they had been expecting recyclable plastic.

That is old stuff that was debunked back in 2007. The same text was published then in several places, that we could expect terror attacks in the next few months. Never happened. Whoever posted this is just recycling old stuff and should know better.
Also there is no evidence he appeared on Bill O'Reilly a week before the 7/7 attacks. Snopes.com has an article on it.
Having said that, I do agree with the concerns expressed, and I do expect terror attacks on US soil to start happening one of these days. This particular warning though, is not credible.

Although talk of peace, "two states for two peoples" and the "Arab League initiative" fill the lofty speeches of American and European leaders, the political war to delegitimize Israel is accelerating.
Officials of the Arab League and the Palestinian Authority, working with powerful groups such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam, exploit the rhetoric of international law to brand Israeli defense against terror as "war crimes" and "collective punishment." As a result, talk of peace process continues to be a façade, demonstrating that the core ideology and objectives - the elimination of Jewish sovereignty and statehood - remain unchanged since 1947.
The Gaza war that took place six months ago, like the 2006 Second Lebanon War, provided major platforms for accelerating political warfare against Israel.

Legislation long sought by Democrats that would expand federal hate-crime laws to cover gay and transgendered people has won approval in the Senate, raising expectations among supporters that the time has finally come for it to be enacted.

The legislation, named the Matthew Shepard Act after the gay University of Wyoming student beaten to death in 1998, would impose longer prison sentences for offenses motivated by gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
It also would make it easier for federal prosecutors to pursue hate-crime charges when local authorities do not.
If enacted, it would be the largest expansion of federal hate-crime laws since they were created in 1968 in response to the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

For a glimpse of what awaits Britain, Europe, and America as budget deficits spiral to war-time levels, look at what is happening to the Irish welfare state.
Events have already forced Premier Brian Cowen to carry out the harshest assault yet seen on the public services of a modern Western state. He has passed two emergency budgets to stop the deficit soaring to 15pc of GDP. They have not been enough. The expert An Bord Snip report said last week that Dublin must cut deeper, or risk a disastrous debt compound trap.
A further 17,000 state jobs must go (equal to 1.25m in the US), though unemployment is already 12pc and heading for 16pc next year.
There is a further listing of programs that need to be cut. Everything from rural schools, to child benefits, to social welfare. Police, who have taken a 7% pay cut already, will have to buy their own uniforms. Hospital visits will cost £107 a day.
No doubt Ireland has been the victim of a savagely tight monetary policy given its specific needs. But the deeper truth is that Britain, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the US, and Japan are in varying states of fiscal ruin, and those tipping into demographic decline (unlike young Ireland) have an underlying cancer that is even more deadly. The West cannot support its gold-plated state structures from an aging workforce and depleted tax base.
My awful fear is that we will do exactly the opposite, incubating yet another crisis this autumn, to which we will respond with yet further spending. This is the road to ruin.

Mr Lin said capacity use had fallen to 72pc in Germany, 69pc in the US, 65pc in Japan, and as low as 50pc in some developing countries, mostly touching lows not seen in modern times.
The traditional cure for countries caught in slumps is to claw their way back to health through devaluation, but this cannot be done today because the crisis is global. "No country can count on currency depreciation and exports as a way out of recession.

The Euphrates is drying up. Strangled by the water policies of neighboring Turkey and Syria, a two-year drought and years of misuse by Iraq and its farmers, the river is significantly smaller than it was just a few years ago. Some officials worry that it could soon be half of what it is now.
The shrinking of the Euphrates, a river so crucial to the birth of civilization that the Book of Revelation prophesies its drying up as a sign of the end times, has decimated farms along its banks, left fishermen impoverished and depleted riverside towns as farmers flee to the cities looking for work.
It is a crisis that threatens the roots of Iraq’s identity, not only as the land between two rivers

Earlier in February, I posted here an article that said UFO sightings in the UK had doubled in 2008, over 2007.
Now, it appears that UFO sightings may double again in 2009.
So what's going on here? Could this be part of the "strong delusion" Paul spoke of? Are people desperate to believe in something, just unwilling to turn to God? Could it be demons? Or have Chinese Lanterns suddenly become very popular at kid's birthday parties?

Exclusive: Dramatic discovery by Jewish-American scientists could change world; anti-radiation medication proves effective, safe in tests. Further experiments to be fast tracked, FDA approval possible within 1-2 years.
The ground-breaking medication, developed by Professor Andrei Gudkov – Chief Scientific Officer at Cleveland BioLabs - may have far-reaching implications on the balance of power in the world, as states capable of providing their citizens with protection against radiation will enjoy a significant strategic advantage vis-à-vis their rivals. You know, there's something terrribly sad about this report. Like something out of Dr. Strangelove.

I expect Israel to strike the nuclear plants of Iran soon - Roelof
2008/9/10 - Three total solar eclipses on the Biblical date of Av 1, for three years: Av 1 – 1 August 2008; Av 1 – 22 July 2009; Av 1 – 11 July 2010.
On Wednesday, 2009 July 22, a total eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses half of Earth. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow begins in India and crosses through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China. After leaving mainland Asia, the path crosses Japan's Ryukyu Islands and curves southeast through the Pacific Ocean where the maximum duration of totality reaches 6 min 39 s. A partial eclipse is seen within the much broader path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, which includes most of eastern Asia, Indonesia, and the Pacific Ocean.

Av (Hebrew (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_language): אָב, Standard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_language#Modern_Hebrew) Av Tiberian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiberian_vocalization) ʾĀḇ ; from Akkadian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akkadian_language) abu) is the eleventh month of the civil year and the fifth month of the ecclesiastical year on the Hebrew calendar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_calendar). The name is Babylonian in origin and appeared in the Talmud (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talmud) around the 3rd century. This is the only month which is not named in the Bible. It is a summer month of 30 days. Av usually occurs in July–August on the Gregorian calendar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar).

The Nine Days are the first nine days of the Jewish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish) month of Av (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Av_(month)). During this time, a strict level of mourning is observed, in accordance with the Talmudic dictum (Ta'anit 26): "When the month of Av begins, we reduce our joy." They are days of intense mourning culminating in Tisha B'Av (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tisha_B%27Av) which commemorates the destruction of the first and second Temples in Jerusalem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_in_Jerusalem).
During The Nine Days, Jewish law (Halakha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halakha)) forbids various activities, including drinking wine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine), eating meat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meat), pleasure-bathing, and wearing freshly laundered clothes. These prohibitions are in addition to those already adhered to during The Three Weeks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Three_Weeks), which take place concurrent to The Nine Days. Those restrictions include listening to music, getting a haircut or shaving, participating in weddings.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nine_Days#cite_note-0)

London - Britain has announced plans to vaccinate half the population against H1N1 flu by year's end, as health officials in Russia warned the virus could spread across the vast country in the coming months.
As more than 100 British students and teachers were quarantined in Beijing over fears they may have A(H1N1), Health Secretary Andy Burnham told lawmakers the government expected to receive the first supplies of a vaccine next month
Britain is the worst-hit territory in Europe, with estimates of 55 000 new cases of the A(H1N1) virus last week.
The worldwide death toll gathered pace, with Argentina announcing a total of 165 fatalities, making it the nation with the second highest number of H1N1 flu deaths after the United States.
