The guy who sang that song died of alcohol poisoning and he and Vice Gill's brother taking his own life were the reasons for Vince writing ,Go rest high on that Mountain.Keith Whitley grew up not many miles from my home town and he and Ricky Skaggs were friends from a young age and played with such legends as Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley.That is another waste of a talented young mans life ruined by alcohol and drugs.
