My youngest child just started kindergarten, so all of my kids are now in school.
To celebrate, I stopped by McDonalds on the way home and got some breakfast and a Dr Pepper that I DON'T HAVE TO SHARE (or hide to keep from having to share!) :pp:lol:
Now maybe I can have a complete thought for the first time in 12 years! :P

It's really weird having the computer all to myself. :hmm:

And the bathroom.....
I don't even have to close the door! Oh, what luxury!

I would have posted sooner but the board is loading SLOWLY again today..
Yea isn't it weird to be suddenly alone...and QUIET in the house? For me I still have to deal with two cats and a dog that can be as bad as kids...
What's nice too is going back to bed for a nap if you need it too... (like I just got up from one..ha!)
Enjoy your day!

With all the parents being 'Home Alone', maybe their posting numerous threads is having a slowing impact on the server...although mine is loading fast.
I am 'Home Alone', relatively speaking, and am at a loss as to actually what to do....??????

Wow... I've always thought that sending your lil one to kindergarten for the first time would be a definite tear jerking and kleenex wringing moment. I hope I can be as bubbly and optimistic as you when it comes time to do the same for my lil one.

I did joke once that when the last kid was in school, I was going to do nothing but sleep for a month straight!

I got all choked up with my son...but he is an only child so I am not as tough as WG.. I got all teary when he 'graduated' from sixth grade last year too...but when it came to dropping him off at middle school for the first time, it didn't bother me at all...:lol: Well I didn't actually drop him off..I had to go in with him and go in the office to take care of some stuff...so maybe that helped keep my emotions in check...
P.S. yea I used to miss Nate when he was taking naps too sometimes! lol. Then when he was up for an hour or so I wondered why...:hmm:

Sometimes I do waste my day...until Nate comes home that is then I run around like a chicken trying to do a billion things at once...
I gotta go to a parent teacher conference this evening...no kids allowed it says and follow his schedule going room to room and meeting his teachers and finding out what they do. I am sure I will get lost...:rolleyes:
forgot to say...Nate started school last week...so this is his second week of middle school. So I am already adjusted to the change...lol...well sort of...

Actually you probably should cause I am a big cry baby... When he went to church youth group camp for the first time this summer I didn't handle it very well I am afraid... He has gone on many trips with his grandparents but I could talk to him nearly everyday on the phone. At camp, no phones were allowed. I mean the kids could call their parents...but had to ask..and we couldn't call them. I thought I would be just fine since has gone on so many trips...but this no contact thing was really, really hard on me...:( I could NOT WAIT until he came home!!!! (and this was just a five day camp too!)
I am such a wimp! And here kids much younger then him had been going to this for years...
