Ahhhhhhhh yes..
So THAT got your attention huh? One thing is for certain, you're definitely a GUY!

This thread is dedicated to listing the things that we as guys love, talk about, have, can't live without etc......
BUT; there's always one little thing about them that either drives us crazy, or has at least one drawback.

There's only one rule.... Your answer can't be "women/girls/females/wives/girlfriends" (et al)

So, now you know the scope of of the thread.
With that, and sticking with the title of this thread, I'll say;
Digital/Hi-Def TV. - It rocks the house for sporting events, concerts & so-on!!! But, there IS one drawback to Digital/Hi-Def. :o
Seriously.... have you ever noticed that when watching movies/shows that have "special effects", they all look like special effects now!!???

Back in the "good ol' days" of analog, those intense scenes looked REAL!
Now? You can absolutely see the fake-ness in all of them.

I was watching a new show tonight called "Flash Forward"; And when the kangaroo showed up hopping down the street, it was TOTALLY obvious that it was a "digitally enhanced special effect".

THAT my friends, is the one thing Digital/Hi-Def TV ruins for us. :B

Your turn!
;)

OK, satellite navigation. It can get you back to the start of a trail, take you to all sorts of unexpected places, open up new hobbies (e.g. geocaching), and give you an excuse to get gadget envy and spend wads of cash on shiny new toys.

But when the thing loses signal or the map is out of date, AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

I find GPS is excellent for telling you EXACTLY how lost you are.

I've got to add that watching golf in Hi-def is like nothing I have ever seen!! You can see the bugs crawling across the greens!!

Revolvers, nice exhaust on the truck, handguns, barbecue potato chips, rifles, cellphones (calender, notes, and calculator not for phone use ;)), shotguns, lapel mics, black powder, etc.

Did you notice a pattern :D

I have a feeling some of my fellow "bothers" do what I personally do a lot of times.... Which is: Get all excited over the first part of something & stop reading/listening/comprehending etc... the REST of the topic.

The last few posts mentioned the cool stuff they get all giddy over... but failed to mention the one thing that drives them crazy about that "awesome thing."

Boys will be boys!

Real men don't read instructions. If you don't know that there are some rather pertinent questions that need to be asked :P

You are right mark!!! I am guilty of getting excited and not reading the whole question. ( hmmmm....is this like when my wife says I only hear what I want to hear?).

Ok.....drawback to hi-def has to be that I am so spoiled by it that I find myself getting irritated when I am watching a channel which isn't HD. It is like it's primitive or something. Also having to watch Dora the Explorer with my daughter in hi-def! Why anyone thought nickelodean should be a high def channel is beyond my comprehension!
