I have a similar problem to djbylar in that the following message appears on Bible database startup, even after several uninstall and re-installs:
C:\Program Files\BibleDatabase\Modules\Bible\b_gk.txt
or
C:\Program Files\BibleDatabase\Index\b_gk.txt.INDEX
this is followed, in the same text box, by the error message:
[Ox00000153] component 'RICHTX32.OCX' not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
Now, I read and followed bdh's reply and found that the file found at the microsoft link is now called 'VBRun60sp6.exe' but it had no effect. I also followed the advice for manually repairing the registry, this also did not work.
Let me quickly say that I'm not criticising bdh'h advice, unfortunately it doesn't work for me possibly because I have recently installed Windows 7 and this may put a whole new face on my problem. Additionally, when I've checked in Program Files\Bible Database\Bible I've found no trace of the other verions of the bible I've downloaded except the basic b_kjv not even the b_gk listed in the error message.
Any advice warmly received and appreciated.
