I see one,and really don't mind it.I have a friend who is kind of strange when it comes to doctors. He said he couldn't handle it if a strange woman saw him naked. He's single and has never been married.I told him what was the difference between a strange woman or a man seeing you naked.I was giving him a hard time.I've had too many surgeries where I was exposed,so it doesn't bother me any more.
I told him when a professional like that gives a physical or whatever,it's the last thing that comes to their minds. It's kind of like a mechanic who fixes all types of cars. Some days it's ferrari's and porche's,the next a 72 buick or a volkswagon.Any of you guys see,or have seen a woman doctor?

I hardly ever visit the doctor. Last time I had a complete physical a female doctor conducted most of it, but for the more personal elements of it (which included a genital inspection) it was conducted in a more private room with a male doctor.
I've never had a female doctor do anything except listen to my chest during my entire adult life, so it's never been an issue for me. I can't say how I'd react if I did need something involving more nudity and the only doctor was female.

Ya know...I thought long and hard about this.
It came to be a question for me years ago.
And the conclusion I came to was that I would much rather have some strange pretty woman handling my genetalia and other private places than some strange guy.
I even quit my regular doctor when he suggested I get my prostrate gland checked. (He was serious and so was I) I took it as a threat and left...
Besides he was all into my cholesterol level...OK...so it was above 300 and my bad number was higher than a total number should ever be.
But I quit seeing him, quit taking the pills and threw away the new prescription he just wrote, Got a bacon-cheeseburger with some chili fries and felt a whole lot better about my cholesterol and prostate than I ever had before.
Yes, I have since had it checked and it somehow miraculously has dropped a ton...well over 100 points. So...I was right and doctors still kill people. Everyone that I know that died was under the care of a doctor...and I ain't gonna take any chances by dieing that way.

I have no problem with them, have been examined by many a female - roughly my age, easy on the eyes - intern at my oncologist appointments. It is a good thing the physicals are quick, cough...
They were, at first, not pleasant experiences.

Stethescopes are always cold...and so are those examination tables...and all is fine so long as they don't stay too terribly long examining things.
How many times are you supposed to turn your head and cough anyway? I don't know...it seems different for every doc.
Maybe because I have dropped my drawers one too many times in front of too many strange women...never thought twice about it. A guy on the other hand...well...I used to shower in PE....but that has been a few years.

Now that you mention it, I have much more of a problem in front of men than with women. The thing about my physicals is that I had cancer, so they examine everything carefully It's not a simple 'grab and cough,' so to speak (and even quickly...) It used to be a middle aged man doing the physical, then he has interns and ever since then, it's been young women.
I have developed quite a lot of willpower...

Modesty can be a deep seeded thing. But I believe letting go of any "life-crushing" embarrassments of the past, being adult about the whole thing, and realizing our doctors are not there to judge or admire us... just to treat us.
One doc is the same as the other... unaffordable. ;)

Never has botherd me. I figure I don't have anything they have not seen before, be it male or female. If I do have something they have never seen before, I'm sure it needed to be checked out anyway.

I have absolutely no problem with it. I would say that if one were to have a problem they should probably not be seen by the female Dr.
It does remind me of a funny story. I was seeing an unfamilure doctor while traveling. I was about 18, and the young aid who had taken my blood pressure told me to undress, that the doctor would be in shortly.
I had sweats on, and a t-shirt so I complied. She had her back to me, and when she turned around she blushed. :) I guess she was expecting me to wait for her to leave the room. She was pretty young too, so I am sure that had something to do with her embarrassment.

My wife is an RN.
She tells me that the guys who get "implants" for some reason want to demonstrate how they work to every nurse that walks by or sees them to perform some task....as if they had something to be proud of.
She can and will embarrass them regularly...and so will the doctors if they catch them doing such behavior.
Other than that she has seen quite literally "it all". It doesn't phase her a bit. She is usually concerned with your blood pressure or whether you are breathing, bleeding, heart pumping or coherant than anything else.
There isn't anything sexual on her mind in the presence of a patient...only work.

I recently switched Primary Care Doctors, but my annual work physical is done by a lady. It was awkward the first time, but now it's old hat. She is very discreet and professional.

i don't like being naked in front of anybody. i never did it as a kid. never walked around in just my underwear or without a shirt. hated lockerrooms. my doctors have always been male. i just wouldn't feel right exposing everything to a woman. not that i feel ok exposing everything to a male but...

Docs are docs. I don't care if they are male or female. It is more of a get in, get out quick as possible ;)
I wouldn't go to one that i knew personally even if they were male.

Any of you guys see a woman doctor?
I just saw a woman doctor the other day in our building, she was about 5'6 125 pounds with greyish/blue hair. I saw her.

I have a male doctor who I really like these days. I was examined by a female doc only once in my life, can't remember if it was for my injury at work but I remember that she did a genital inspection for testicular cancer. I was wearing a gown, but she reached inside and her hands were COLD. It didn't bother me too much until a nursing student walked in and asked if she could watch the doctor do a hernia examination. I said no and the student looked really rejected.....like I was going to say yes??
I am still uncomfortable with my male doctor and the prostate exam.

Just FYI
Nursing students have a very brief time in which they must view a long laundry list of different procedures while at the hospital so they can get the required credits of seeing the procedures. Where I can understand your reluctance to be in such a position of a group of women staring at your genetals...it is still funny.
And the last time my doctor said something about checking my prostate I took it as a threat and never have been back since. Besides...he was the only one concerned about my cholesterol. I wasn't.

I'm not to freaked out by female doctors. At this point, they just tell me to drop my drawers and they do a quick visual check.

the only reason i see a female doc is when my wife went to see her she wanted me to go with her into her office. it is easier for me too with our daughter. so i just got more comfortable with her than the male docs-- even for my annual physical that comes with the health program at work.

I know I would like to see that nurse practicioner again...
she was kind and nice and pretty...real soft hands and a gentle touch.
and best of all in my age group.
But only not in the doctor's office....I would much rather see her in a coffee shop or at a dinner table. She might be fun to hang out with for a bit.
