How many of you have been in the military? I was in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1998 until 2002 and was with 2/22 Inf. in the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY and for the last period was with the 172nd Inf. Brigade Separate at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Thank you for your service to our nation. I have a nephew in the Navy right now, the closet I got to being in the military was taking the ASVAB all 4 years of high school. I always wanted to go in myself but my wheelchair prevented me.

No, not All Army. 129th Army Band (Tennessee National Guard)
I was the E-6 clarinet section leader. Also played tenor sax in the jazz band and sang baritone in our barbershop quartet.

Many moons ago.

A good friend of mine is currently serving in Afghanistan. I really worry everytime I first hear about someone dying on the news. You're always aware that the relief you have is not being experienced by someone else.

All those who serve in the army, you are very brave, amazing people.
