Hi Susan
I want you to know that you are in my prayers, but I want to point out a few things that can help you on the road to recovery. When sickness enters our lives, it can cause fear to damage our faith. I hope when you feel afraid, you will turn to God's word for comfort.
The doctors have good treatments and medication for cancer. The Kingdom of God also has medicine to help us fight sickness. I believe you can beat cancer, and I want you to believe it, too! Jesus said, "Everything is possible for one who believes." (Mark 9:23) Our faith, and belief in the power of Christ, can help us overcome enormous obstacles.
I want to share with you some of my favorite passages from the Bible, that will help you find faith for your battle. I'm taking these from my Complete Jewish Bible, which is the literal translation from the Hebrew:
Yesha'Yahu (Isaiah) 53:4-5 IN FACT, IT WAS OUR DISEASES HE BORE,
OUR PAINS FROM WHICH HE SUFFERED;
YET WE REGARDED HIM AS PUNISHED,
STRICKEN AND AFFLICTED BY GOD
BUT HE WAS WOUNDED BECAUSE OF
OUR CRIMES,
CRUSHED BECAUSE OF OUR SINS;
THE DISCIPLINING THAT MADE US WHOLE
FELL ON HIM
AND BY HIS BRUISES WE ARE HEALED
I love that scripture, it's a prophecy from Isaiah about Jesus' death on the cross for our sins and sicknesses! Here are some more scriptures for you to look at, write them down and memorize them. Take these verses like medicine, everyday. You can't overdose on them, so whenever you feel afraid, speak them out loud;
PSALM 30:2 PSALM 92:5-7 PSALM 103:2-3 JEREMIAH 30:17 MALACHI 4:2 MATTHEW 8:16-17 MARK 16:18 HEBREWS 12:12
Last is the Prayer of Faith (JAMES 5:14-15). You have victory in Jesus, Susan.
