Shalom/Hello,
My name is Ya'aqov ben Liam ben Yisrael, and I am a member of the Crimean Qaraim, a community with a long and rich history in Eastern Europe. The Crimean Qaraim have produced many great scholars of the Hebrew Text of the Bible, and have a long and very proud history of being vanguards of the Hebrew Language.
I am a student of languages in general, and in particular the Semitic branch, although I do know Egyptian Hieroglyphic, Sumerian, Hittite and Greek among others. As of this date I know Assyrian, Aramaic, Arabic, and Hebrew of the Semitic branch, am studying Persian, and Hindi.
I am not a christian, nor am I here to debate the tenets of christianity, nor to disuade anyone from following that which they have come to believe in. I simply saw the thread of Ancient Hebrew Pictographs and thought I would weigh in my two cents worth. I look forward to studying this topic with you.
