I am here in part because I feel the need to connect. My husband is not a Christian and I currently only have Sundays off, which means I spend them with him and our son and not attending church. Part of that is his preference and part of that is that I am simply lazy. I may or may not keep up with this forum, but I suppose that will be largely based on how much I seem to glean from it. I am truly looking for more in my life and I pray that God will lead me to where I need to be. So hello, this is me.

Pleased to meet you, bittabit, and welcome to the board. Hoping your time with us will be to the encouragement and edification of your walk in Christ, as it no-doubt will be for us.

I join you in prayer, asking for the Lord's continued leading and spiritual encrichment for you and for the benefit of your family.

I pray that your time here will be as blessed as mine has been. My wife was int eh same "boat" as you are for many years: I will pray for your husband. For if God can change myself, He can change anyone.

In Him,

Thank you so much for the encouragement and for the prayers. I can use a might more of both at the moment. So far I have read some of the articles and perused a little of the forum and must say that I am feeling encouraged and less alone than I was before I joined. It is amazing that something as simple as an internet forum can make one feel connected to something greater. I must say that one of my greatest struggles has been that I am a person that places much trust in how I feel for the most part and I realize that this is not the way things should be. Forgiveness and Love are choices not feelings, however; it still remains a struggle to stand in faith not feeling. Again, thank you all so very much and any pointers on where the most communicating happens on the forum where I can read and interject, would be most appreciated.

Take a look down the main page and you will find the different forum, areas of discussion...from the more aggressive type discussions to more laid back areas such as Growing in Christ, or Christian Fellowship. There is also Women at the Well, just for the ladies. The Counseling forum is also available

Just find something interesting and jump in...or start a thread on something or whatever is on your mind. If you get confused on where to start it, don't fret, if it would be better in another area, a mod can easily move it for ya. Just have fun and enjoy!

Welcome Bittabit, I think you'll like it here. I joined almost a year ago and have learned much from the seasoned believers. The easiest way to get into current discussions is to click on What's New when you come in. You can read posts from the archives and still post on them too.

Was just reading the predestination thread...wow. So many scriptures and so little time. I personally hold that you can choose to turn your back on God at any time. I served God for many years, spirit filled, speaking in tongues, some of them in the mission field and in my early 20's chose to live a depraved life. I still believed, I still had conviction but would have died in my sin. I am now attempting to lift myself out of the mire and am struggling daily. I plead for the Spirit to help me but for whatever reason, I still struggle and fall. I sure hope that God will also forgive 77x7 in a day because I NEED it. Whatever the correct position is I don't really care, I am ready to work out my salvation with fear and trembling, though a little peace would be nice.
