I gotta agree, Slug has one hot grill. I wonder, is it a sin to covet another man's grill? :hmm:

Personally, I like my neighbor's grill. It's one of those with three or four rows of grills above that unfold out as you pop the top, so you can grill enough burgers for the whole cookout at once on it. You have to run it pretty hot... but, then, it's a hot grill, knowwhutImean?

Costco has a flat grill that's about 3'x6' cooking surface. No cover or top. It's a pure dog's and burgers BBQ party grill. I need that one too.

hot grills.....

If you have the Weber Kettle, then you already have the best pure cooking grill known to man. It's a crappy smoker but it will outgrill everything in its path. I need to replace mine, it's seen better days.

I also have a gas grill for quickie cooking. There is no food I will not grill.

I need to get a new grill. I loaned mine to a buddy a while back, but never got it back from him (It was a pretty cheapo one, so I wasn't all that upset about it). I'll probably be picking up a basic charcoal one in the next couple of months.

This should be a violation of porch law. No man can go a couple of months without a grill. I grill at least 3 nights a week even when it is 10 below zero here.

I eat meat killed by my own hands on a regular basis. If that doesn't make me a man, then I guess I'll just have to live with that shame.

Weather cannot stop one from grilling! That reminds me... we have some burgers that need grilling over here. Thanks for that :)

Here are some pics of mine and our backyard get-away (patio deck, firepit, pool, etc.)

The Grill is a "Member's Mark" propane gas grill (model M5205ALP).

There are 3 main burners, 2 back burners, a searing/infra-red burner, rotisserie and can be used as a smoker. The wife got it for me on my 40th b-day :)

Hey Q,

Yeah, it is a very fun environment in the summertime, the kids love it and it is a good gathering spot for family and friends/neighbors.

I chose a proprane grill over natural gas so that I could move it around if I wanted. It has been well worth the investment.

Slug1
Mar 5th 2007, 03:47 AM
My dad has his propane grill on the front deck and a permanent natural gas grill on the side deck. Yeah, he does allot of grilling.

Toolman, ya know after looking at pics of that firepit I have a whole new set of ideas for a future deck I plan to build :hmm:

If Cheech gets her way I'll be building an outdoor brickoven for bread and PIZZA, as well !!!

I want a firepit. The wife asks why. Then when we're outside at night and she says "I'm going in, it's cold" I reply "A firepit would keep you warm"

Anytime bud :)

It got up close to 90 this weekend.. I think this summer is going to be a scorcher.

Thankfully we are getting an abundance of rain right now to fill up the lakes. We had a drought last summer and had to ration the water use.

I bet we see days of close to 110 this summer. Fortunately I like hot weather but when it gets that high it is bad news for lots of folks around here.. elderly poor who don't have adequate cooling.

Nope ain't pick'n no fights here. I like both and have never smoked any (lack of smoker) before, so I am just asking. Does one smoke/grill up better than the other?

Prk ribs only.

I almost bought a new grill this weekend. I am debating on getting a weber kettle grill. I already have one that I can use charcoal on, but it would be nice to have a gas grill, smoker and a charcoal grill. Each one for a specific job.

A porterhouse over a wood bone fire is my all time favorite.

For a daily burner I have a gas just for the convenience. We grill on average of 5 nights a week, year round.

Just wanted to introduce you men to a pretty young gril I had the pleasure of meeting over the weekend:

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b194/lbeaty1981/Charmilla.jpg

Her name is Charmilla, a sweet little two-burner gril given to me for my birthday. I still need to fill up on some propane before giving her a test run, but I'm hoping to be grilling with her for many years to come. I do believe I may have to have a talk with her about her total lack of modesty, though. She's been showing off her burners to anyone who'll look!

Its getting that time of year again isn't and the thread is resurrected LOL!

This year for my b-day the wife got me a 4 rack electric smoker. I've been tearing the thing up... pork ribs, beer-can chicken, pork butt (for pulled pork sandwiches), brisket, even did hamburgers in it a couple of times!

I'll snap some pics and upload them later... I LOVE smoking. Looking forward to trying my hand at some smoked peppers.

NOT me for sure - since I'm going raw and don't grill anymore. :P

But if someone invites me over (yea - like that's likely to happen ) I will humbly eat off of their grill.

I have a good decent Weber. Nothing fancy. Can hold about 4 20oz. steaks and such.
