Ironic, how I was just mentioning this to my husband 10 seconds before I saw this article on the front page of Yahoo!
It speaks of those who rely on their own reasoning - they wind up WRONG and follow whatever the majority turns to. With very simply influence, people got elementary and obvious things wrong simply because of relying on self and allowing fear to run and dictate their actions.
This past weekend was a weird one for us weather wise. Saturday was beautiful - sunny, no humidity, in the 70's. Sunday it was in the 80's, humid. Waking up yesterday morning I started out in shorts, tshirt and barefoot and graduated to pants and socks and eventually a fuzzy warm sweater. The day clouded over, the wind picked up and if I didn't know that the calendar said it was the end of May I'd have thought it to be early fall. It was just plain chilly!

These days the Spirit is moving in ways that to me sound like a freight train. A quiet one, slowly building, calling and speaking to those who are His. If you can hear it, it's a beautiful and spirit filling quickening like a freight train you cannot ignore. Hear it. If you don't, seek it. Be now what is eternal through faith, be dead to sin and alive in Christ.

So much is popping up these days about the state of the American/western church. It's not kind stuff, and the weight seems to be placed squarely on the shoulders of the leaders. Many are disappointed and angry at these pastors, elders and leaders. Granted, they are supposed to lead us, no? Indeed, they are and they will have to give account some day. Those who are leaders who lead astray are in a grave situation. Like that guy in Florida who claim to be Christ, here on earth, the second coming.

I was wondering that myself around 7 this morning. On my way to work I was driving along and up ahead of me I look and see what at first I thought were really big dogs or miniature ponies. Then a bunch more shuffled up onto the roadway. Out loud I said "IT'S SHEEP!" I slowed down, and they moved off the road and toward the railroad tracks (good thing - that's so much better than the highway ) before I was close to hitting one of them.
Now, I live in rural Minnesota.
