When the warm weather comes, I like to get up early, get a cup of coffee, grab my Bible and sit outside to read. This morning I did just that. After I read for a little while, journaling my thoughts, I took some time to bring my requests before the Lord. Once I had laid what I needed to at His feet, I decided to be quiet before Him.

I drove by a lounge/bar yesterday and I had memories of the days when I would go to certain places and everyone knew me. You went there because you felt accepted. If the whole world was against you, behind that door in that smoked filled room, everyone knew your name, and they were glad you came.
Life has changed for me so much over the years. I no longer go into those places and if I were to walk in one today, I would not be remembered.

When we want to plant something we may go out and buy a pot. The pot is very important. It holds the soil,seed and water. But what the pot doesn't do,is cause the seed to grow. What is going on inside of the pot is more important. The seed takes root,and grows and eventually forms into a beautiful flower or vegetable.

There are times in our lives when we need to say things out loud. There are times when the Lord may even use us to say something out loud. But in order to do this properly, we must also know that it is coming from Him and not from our own flesh.

On Saturday I went to the Christian Book Distributer warehouse sale. If you have never been, the first time can be overwhelming. I've been a few times, so I can take my time now and look over things in a more relaxed way.
