That really spoke to me, if only my daughter could read it. Thank you again for your prayers and this powerful message.
Hooah Karen, in Luke 35:35-42 is Lukes perspective of the same event. Just this past Sunday (6 June), this was the scripture that our pastor was given for the message to give us. It is all about CRYING out to God, over the noise and distractions of this world.
Amen, so the Lord was not "only" talking to us and informing us of the importance to CRY out to Him, but you as well... God is Good!!
I like it!
Love you lots and lots,
Powerful blog. Thank You
I never went to those places but I can imagine what they are like........ I have a little red shoe here next to my bed reminding me where my Home is......
Love you lots,
Karen, I read this blog at work today and had to praise God. I have a blog entry called "Structure" you may be interested in reading as the Lord ministered something to me very much the same.
I posted this on 18 Jun 09 but the Lord began to minister all this to me on 8 May 09. I began to journal all that is written and it came in 5 parts, about 3 days apart from each other.
I'd be interested to know when the Lord ministered to your son what he told you and that you had written up in this blog.
I also received a Word from God as He spoke to me one day while I was at church (9 May 09). I wrote it all down and I will pass it here cause the message may minister to your son as well. The Lord began to minister all that is in that blog but this is what He said also... I'm posting this cause I've learned that much the Lord says directly to me to write isn't always for me even though He addresses me directly:
"Conform structure to God's will with you. Allow the Holy Spirit the freedom to move within you and show you the area's that I will change for and to My purposes. This can only be done in the moments you seek Me, when you are separate from the world. I have instructed you and I wait as you continue to do as you do and continue to ask. I'm waiting Ken, for you to slow down and place yourself before Me with a heart open to Me. Open to Me and not a worry about what is around you, not a worry about what others will think of you as My changes give you the servants heart that I will use within you. Allow Me to restructure, rebuild, remold, as you are breaking in My hand as you write this. I wait for you Ken."
Not by accident that I read this today. God is so working on my growth. I seem to fight it sometimes without really meaning to, but, none the less my flesh gets in the way at times.
I WILL NOT FIGHT GODS GROWTH IN ME. In Jesus name.
What a great story! I enjoyed reading it and your conclusions.
Is it possible that it was a printing press error of some kind?
looking at your face......I miss you ...when will you come down....Now I'masking through blogs!
Karen, I almost wet myself now laughing.......................................... ..
I have real tears in my eyes.......................................
The publisher probably thought to himself, "Well, this Matthew, Mark, Luke and John look the same, hmmmmm, lets just put in one of them"
My Bible is 4 1/2 X 7 inches and is 3/4 inch thick... what was left out
you're a funny one! I bet the Lord smiled at you when you picked up that Bible, knowing John wasn't in there.......
Love you much,
You should've bought the thick one after all...
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you just love it when He does that!!!....You can almost picture Him smirking as you search for the books....
Thanks for sharing .....that is so cool....
I can only hope I would be good enough to sit in the front of my church too........ you are a blessing to me and to that church girl!
Love you lots,
Karen, what a wonderful post! I too have learned in a most direct way, not to put (in my case) "conditions" on the will of God. The Holy Spirit is active it seems teaching us to listen and follow the will of the Lord.
It is amazing when HE gives you the "front row seat" with a VIP message for you. I am so glad you were blessed today.
I absolutely LOVE you! That is so cool.....I felt like I was reading Erma Bombeck,,,,,,That's what you can do! Write Christian columns......Ya know your story about the robbers was so entertaining....now this .....
You had me giggling......okay, I gotta go back to work.....
I had a cat that died last year who began to develop problems with digestion near the end. It seemed no matter how much food I gave him he kept losing weight. You might want to have the Vet check Tanya out.
