But you leave out the first thing that Christ tells us to do in (Mat 4:17), which is bypassed by many professing Christians, as though nothing is required of them.

Thank you for your post's they always seem to turn up at a relevant time. When I wake in the morning if I have a thought that is, or seems profound I write them down on my website, for other's to see. So thank you for your inspiration, or should I thank the Lord for his wisdom to you, Alan

My son keeps track of them from my preaching and then sends them to me monthly or so. Truly, I don't even realize I am saying them....LOL

Yes! Even those like me, with limited talents and abilities can be used by the good Lord! (My latest story in the Articles forum, A Boy Called Peanut, is a good example that God can use the least of us!

Success is a different than the cross, yet it is the same end. Success in the Lord is when we have done the will of God, we might receive the promise. The cross is to deny our own will, and carry our own cargo, and the cargo of otherīs, which if we fulfill, is also the same success in the Lord.

This is exactly how I feel. Sometimes, in the career that I choose, people ask me if I mind the pay being so low? But my answer has always been, my reward doesn't come in the form of money. My reward is doing ministry through my work for the sake of the Cross and helping people who have no hope and feel unknown. Seeing miracles from the Lord happen in them.

    Thank you for this...
