Well, I mentioned Revelation 21:7 tonight in a post and that reminded me I'd begun an endeavor to write about how God had led me to where I am now as far as living an overcoming life is concerned.
I'm going to write and try not to be preachy.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be my son. (Rev. 21:7)
That was the first verse God showed me that day he changed my theological thinking.
I saw that there will be those who overcome. Then
In 1979 I met a very interesting man through my business. I ended up working on his houses for almost a year none stop. His wonderful wife would fix dinner every day for me and my crew. We'd eat, then go into his living room where we'd read the newspaper and talk. The Lord had done a great work in this man's life. He was a former drunkard who'd heard the gospel message and had his live changed by Christ. What wonderful fellowship we had!
It was hard for me to figure this guy out initially.
Brief testimony. I gave my life to Christ in the spring of 1963. I was 19 at the time. Now you can figure out my age. After that event, my life changed. Two years later I was in Bible College. I've been posting on the Bible Forum for over a year. It's been a good experience. I enjoy reading more than posting. I've actually learned some things on here, believe it or not. I believe there are some really good, dedicated Christians who post on here and the last thing I want to do is hinder someone's walk with their Lord so in many cases, when I believe I have something I could
I heard Vance Havner say "we never really know whether Christ is all we need until we're in a position where He's all we got."
When all is gone, He's all that's left. He will never forsake or leave us. Christ gets great pleasure in seeing us in any position where we can only trust Him and let Him get all the glory.
This isn't a group effort. We do it by ourselves. Just us and God.
It's when we get to this place that He teaches us and communes with us. God can communicate
