Special Interest

It is clear that John the Revelator was "in the Spirit" when he "saw" the immortal Lord Jesus Christ on Patmos Island:

9I, John, your brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

It seems to be useful to identify an assumption about the temple vision of Ezekiel 40-48.

Indeed, there seems to be an assumption by many that Ezekiel says that a new temple will be rebuilt.

The assumption goes something like this: since those 8 chapters of Ezekiel 40-48 are there (and a temple is mentioned in those chapters) then that temple has to be built.

(Otherwise, why is it in the Bible to start with?)
