  1. James...part 7

    The Dark Side of faith...

    Up through verse five, James has been carefully painting the portrait of what God wants His people to be and how to live their lives. Joy, endurance, patience, wisdom and faith are the guiding lines of that portrait. They should be the bedrock on which our lives turn. Now, at verse six, he shows the contrasting view. 2. James...part 6

    We now come to James first mention of prayer:

    5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault,...

  5. Do You See That Man?

    Do You See That Man?
    Do you see that Man - the One upon the Tree
    Who used to walk the shores of the Galilean Sea?
    Some say that His coming has long since been foretold;
    By dead kings and teachers and our own prophets of old.

    He claimed He was the Son of God; indeed this I believe
    But others tell me I am wrong; that He came to deceive
    They say He was
