In what sense has death been abolished?

Well, how is death abolished anyway?

Let's see . . .

When Jesus abolished death, He simply "cheated" it by rising from the dead to immortality. Thus, Christ is the only one in "this" age that has abolished death in this specific manner--and for all men.

The notion that Christ is now immortal is taught indeed in I Tim. 6:

Recently, I have been thinking about Herod's temple and "the great tribulation" as mentioned by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24. It seems to me that Jesus is recorded as speaking to the disciples of that day in the applicable passages below:

Jesus has explained several things about the Kingdom of God that are apropos to our lives as saints:

Luke 13

It seems to be useful to identify an assumption about the temple vision of Ezekiel 40-48.

Indeed, there seems to be an assumption by many that Ezekiel says that a new temple will be rebuilt.

The assumption goes something like this: since those 8 chapters of Ezekiel 40-48 are there (and a temple is mentioned in those chapters) then that temple has to be built.

(Otherwise, why is it in the Bible to start with?)

I believe Scripture clearly defines when the rapture will happen in relation to other end-time events. My desire is that instead of taking my word for it, this article would encourage you to compare the Scriptures to each other and pray and see if you come to the same conclusion.
