  1. Hushed Forever

    Hushed Forever

He had no hope; he gave up on life
So he shot himself, his children and wife
There they lie – forever asleep
It is enough to make grown men weep.

The boy was seven – Dad killed him first
Then followed the girl – her death was the worst
He shot his dear wife between the eyes
Stifling her pleas; her pitiful cries.

The dog had to go – it was only fair
Then he sat down in his favorite chair

  4. salvation

I believe that salvation involves genuine repentance.

  5. James....part 3

    a mindset...

James commands, 'Count it all joy....' and that should be how we go about it. The verb here is an aorist imperative, 'Do it now, once and for all', do not be moved from that thought. Joy is how we are to view it, and we must not change our minds. This is the anchor that is echoed in verse six, do not let our minds be moved from this decision. As James will command, 'let it have its full play' (here speaking of patient endurance); a constant face of faithful endurance ...
