On Friday, Mom felt the worst that she had all week. When I called to talk to her, Dad said she didn't even want to talk on the phone.

I went to see Mom today. When I arrived she was sitting outside looking at the flowers in the gardens with Dad. I gave her a breast cancer t-shirt I bought for both of us that has hope and some scripture on it, which she really liked.
I could tell Mom didn't feel well today. She walked very slowly and you could tell by looking at her that she was very tired. She said today she was very nauseated, tired, and sore. She said even her teeth were hurting her today she was in so much pain.

While I was away on my trip, my had her port put in (on 4/10), which went well. I called her that afternoon and she said she was very very sore, but other than that she was doing good.
We didn't get back home until the wee hours of the morning on Monday, the day of her first chemo. I called her early of a morning on my way to work and she said she was feeling much better.
