Ryukyuans are the people indigenous to the Ryukyu Islands. There are at least five types of Ryukyuans: Amamians, Miyakoans, Okinawans, Yaeyamans, and Yonagunians. Each have their own language. Ryukyuans are closely related to the Japanese, but are distinct from them. From what I've heard, many Ryukyuans are at least relatively fluent in Japanese, which is out of necessity. I'm wondering if the Bible has been translated into the Ryukyuan languages.
