Some I don't remember I only remenber being startled in the middle of the night. An impending sense of "something is coming" still hangs in the night air. Its really quite strange almost as if the Spirit of God is trying to tell me something. One thing is clear Time is notonly short but very short. War with Iran is around the corner I don't need to be a prophet to see that writing clearly written on the wall. In my dreams I see fire and smoke there is no escape. Its as if a volcano so massive has blown up something like Yellowstone they have on the History Channel. The thing that scares me in the dreams is more of a spirit than actual events. Its a darkness that seems to swallow up everything good and pervert it. There is an every man for himself attitude when it goes down. I am certain the end is near and it may only be a matter of months before we start to feel it.

What differs the end is near from other times?

1.) Isreal became a nation in 1948 and as the scripture says "this generation shall not pass away before they see the coming of the Son of Man" a generation being anywhere between 60 to 70 years right in the butter zone.

2.) Human population has never been as high as it is today. Overpopulation and the loss of a persons own "personal space" is increasing the stress level of human beings overall as peoples fuses become increasingly shorter.

3.) Ocean resources are being depleated at a rate thats many times faster than they can be replenished.

4.) Pollution is increasing over the world as more and more countries persue the "American" dream of grotesque consumerism.

5.) Rain forests are being clear cut at a rate of a land area the size of Kentucky ervey year.

6.) Oil supplies are dwindling away at an exponential rate as countries with billion + populations develop an insatiable thirst for oil based products.

7.) Weapons of mass destruction are in the hands of unstable governments such as Packistan, North Korea, and Iran. Developments of biological weapons could wipe out people by the billions. A single terrorist infected with a highly virlant agent flying around the world could bring the world to its knees.

8.) The climate is changing I have seen the evidence that it is getting warmer which coinsides with the biblical prophetic theme of cleansing with fire

9.) The technology is here today for an implantable ID and your own unique number has already been assigned to you enabling the prophesy "no man shall buy or sell without the mark of the beast". One world government, one world currency, global community all buzz words of the day

The above conditions have only been previlent in the last 61 years many of which have only manifested in the last 15 years. The end is near... Call it conviction of the Holy Spirit or in more human terms I called it the Interest Indicator which was based upon a simple principal of rate of recroprative response which I formulated to quantify the health of relationships between friends and myself. It goes something like this. You call your fishin' buddy and invite him to the lake and a few minutes later he responds and plans are made. On the appointed day you both go fishin'. One could say that confidence is solid with this friend. As time progresses communication flows between you both and if one is missing for a few days the other calls and inquires what is troubling you and offers to help. If on the other hand you call your fishin buddy and get his message machine and leave a message and get no response all day and the next day you get a text message saying I will call you soon and we will make plans and that call never comes and again you call and get the same response a day later one could say that confidence in this friend is weak.

The rate of which we reciprocate our response shows clearly where our priorties are at that given moment the choice is made. The more we put something off the lower it is on our priority scale. The less we respond the further is is from the heart. The Holy Spirit has used this quantifier to illistrate to me just where the Kingdom of God is in my heart based upon my own rate of reciprocative response. Starting at Commandment number one of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3) NIV "You shall have no other gods before me", all the way to when Jesus spoke in (Mathew 22 vs 37 - 40) "Jesus replied: `Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Clearly God wants me to put him first in my life and I can quantify this by using the interest indicator and measuring my own rate of recriprocative response to Gods desire.

Here are a few things I have been made aware of. Reading my Bible where is it on my priority scale? When I wake in the morning -- nope got to eat something, things to do during the day -- read it later. Half dead at the end of the day... Oh yeah should do my Bible reading after Heroes is over on TV. A good 10 minutes ought to do it. Yup nourished myself with the Word. Yeah where did God come in my life? Bottom most last. My own rate of reciprocative response to Gods invitation is apethetically weak here. I certianlly did not put with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind into loving God here. I hardly gave Him notice and it showed up clearly on that interest indicator where God sits in my life. The same goes for things like prayer, giving thanks, confession of sins, tithing and anything else thet truely matters to God can all be measured as to where they are in my life by the rate of reciprocative response. The Holy Spirit has shown me how I can be a good friend to God by placing Him in the top most part of my heart, mind and soul.

The Holy Spirit is powerful and His message cannot be denied. This is a daunting task and I am ultimatly floored by the sheer magnitude of it. By scope and scale I see just how short I fall before the King.
