Psalm 100 - A Psalm of Thanksgiving

Rate this Entry
Let's take a look at each verse of this short chapter.

1 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Amen! What else can I say.

2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. I can think of times in my life where I have served the Lord, but there was no gladness and joyful singing. Indeed, sometimes I was confused, and even angry and bitter. However, He pours out so many blessings on us. There is no reason why we shouldn't be joyful with Him.

3 Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We need to remember that we are nothing without Him. He guides us in all we do, and we should bless Him for that.

4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless be His name. How many times have you went to church or Bible study and not been thankful and full of praise? I know I have.

5 For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations. Thank you Lord for loving us forever!
