Alas, We as Christians are our own worst enemy.
Today, I was reading Yahoo and I came upon this article:

Here is a good example of Discipleship denied....or...maybe, not.
God is sovereign and maybe he meant for the Heroes of our story to come up short on character and long on contrition or maybe he wanted a little Grace to rain down on the so-called losers of this story.
I wonder how this story would have ended if the Christian kids had honered God in the middle of the game and asked for a concession to end the suffering of the other team.
Caught up in the excitement of the other team, we see competition goes out the window in favor of exhibition and humiliation. God, is the hero, once again of this story as he shows his grace by loving up the other team and convicting the winning team.
I posted a story last week in the forums about a football team that had half it's fans cheer for a state prison team. Many seeds were planted that night.
On this particular night, I bet alot of seeds were planted as well, unfortunately, they were planted by the people reaching out to this team as losers not in humility by the coach of the winnign team. As in all things the Proud will be humbled and the humbled will be exalted.
