And in a word it was gone. The Lord spoke and a huge ice storm descended upon the midwest snapping tree limbs and downing power lines.
Say it isn't so, we are in Day 2 of sans-power living. It isn't pretty. If truth be known, it is downright ugly. Our bodies are clean, but there is a real absence of prettying up. :)
We are cooking on our grill (outside of course) and so far the temperature has descended to 42 degrees in the house.
Brrrrrrrrr. It is a little chilly. We have stocked up on blankets, so there's that, but otherwise it is not fun.
The girls were all played out after the first ocuple of hours, so now every couple of minutes they will complain about their situation.
We are praying that the electricity get's restored soon. If only for the heat. As it is, we have decided that we can prettu much do without the phone, cable, TV, internet etc, but heat is oh so good.
