My son shared something with me yesterday that has led me to appreciate what God does in our lives even more.

When we want to plant something we may go out and buy a pot. The pot is very important. It holds the soil,seed and water. But what the pot doesn't do,is cause the seed to grow. What is going on inside of the pot is more important. The seed takes root,and grows and eventually forms into a beautiful flower or vegetable.
Our bodies are like the pot. We are but a vessel. What is going on inside of us is more important than the temple we dwell in. When Christ becomes a part of our lives, we begin to grow in His grace and knowledge becoming more and more like Him.
Satan has put it on the minds of us even Christians that the pot is more important. Make it pretty, Paint it this way, shape it that way. But inside so many are like nothing more than dead men's bones.

Let God work in You. Don't fight it. A plant doesn't fight the growth, it works with the soil and the sun and water to grow. In the same way we need to allow God's Word,trials, and blessings to happen and flow through us that we might become a fragrance that is pleasing to Him.

    Not by accident that I read this today. God is so working on my growth. I seem to fight it sometimes without really meaning to, but, none the less my flesh gets in the way at times.
    I WILL NOT FIGHT GODS GROWTH IN ME. In Jesus name.

    Karen, I read this blog at work today and had to praise God. I have a blog entry called "Structure" you may be interested in reading as the Lord ministered something to me very much the same.

    One Spirit!!

    I posted this on 18 Jun 09 but the Lord began to minister all this to me on 8 May 09. I began to journal all that is written and it came in 5 parts, about 3 days apart from each other.

    I'd be interested to know when the Lord ministered to your son what he told you and that you had written up in this blog.

    I also received a Word from God as He spoke to me one day while I was at church (9 May 09). I wrote it all down and I will pass it here cause the message may minister to your son as well. The Lord began to minister all that is in that blog but this is what He said also... I'm posting this cause I've learned that much the Lord says directly to me to write isn't always for me even though He addresses me directly:

    "Conform structure to God's will with you. Allow the Holy Spirit the freedom to move within you and show you the area's that I will change for and to My purposes. This can only be done in the moments you seek Me, when you are separate from the world. I have instructed you and I wait as you continue to do as you do and continue to ask. I'm waiting Ken, for you to slow down and place yourself before Me with a heart open to Me. Open to Me and not a worry about what is around you, not a worry about what others will think of you as My changes give you the servants heart that I will use within you. Allow Me to restructure, rebuild, remold, as you are breaking in My hand as you write this. I wait for you Ken."
