Mercy came running.... Like a prisoner set free.... Past all my failures.... To the point of my need.... When the sin that I carried was all I could see.... And when I could not reach mercy.... Mercy came running to me....

This morning at about 5am my husband Dean got up (he said he was trying to "pull a Pastor Varney".... LOL)and decided to read his bible for a bit.... He sat there for over an hour reading (he says he has to read it sentence by sentence and ponder the meaning of each sentence so he understands.... I naturally told him that was the best way to get it done.... Each one is like a seed he is nurturing and watching grow).... I am assuming he has much in common with Mark as that is the gospel he is reading.... He is at the part where Jesus (seemingly in Deans mind) is throwing up His hands and asking the Israelites "how much longer He has to put up with them" (LOL!)....

So he is reading that and notices our coffee pot.... Which hasn't been working for days.... It is one of the oldie but goodies.... A percolator from Montgomery Wards.... Circa 1965 or 70.... It made great coffee.... Better than the coffee makers you buy now a days.... They don't even make the filters for them anymore.... We take our basket filters and poke a hole in the middle of them to use them (LOL!).... I think it is done for.... So he spies our coffee pot and all of a sudden says "Jesus.... I know You can make that coffee pot work if You want to.... If You decide not to I will just take it that I am supposed to get a cup of coffee somewhere else.... But I sure would like a cup of coffee in a little while when I get back up.... I don't even know if it is right for me to ask You.... But if You decide to make that coffee pot work.... That would sure be alright with me.... "

So he decided he is no Pastor Varney and he is going back to bed.... This is at around 6:20....

At 7am he starts down the stairs.... when he reaches the landing between the first and second floors he realizes he smells coffee....

The pot finishes brewing his coffee as he reaches the last step....

And there you have it folks....
