My journey begins

It's official. My diagnosis is Fibromyalgia. Now I know. I have been sick and in pain for longer than I can recall. I didn't understand at all what was going on in my body. Why I was physically unable to do so many things I desired to do. If I didn't get enough sleep I was a mess. Literally. My head hurt so often. My bowels acted up. I was depressed to the point I cried the majority of the day all too often. My house work suffered. I was impatient with my children, husband and friends. Some mornings I was so stiff I could hardly move.
Then my mom got sick and things went from bad to worse. I had to force myself to function. Prayer was a major part of my ability to do anything. I called on the Lord for strength and He provided it. Once He took my mom home I took a breather and removed myself and my children from a very bad situation for awhile. I discovered the less stress I had, the more I was able to function.
This last Summer was brutal. We have no AC and the heat was almost intolorable at times. Once again, I made it through due to my prayers. I was pretty much in bed most of the Summer. Then one day I was in mid conversation with my daughter and I collapsed. At the ER they discovered I was very Anemic. I was refered to my doctor who placed me on iron. He also suggested that AC would be a good idea. My husband was not willing to provide that.
I am still Anemic. Iron suppliments help that. As for treatment for Fibromyalgia the doctor has suggested Lyrica but first I wish to go with vitamin therapy, fish oil and most important, prayer.
I will be blogging on my healing journey. I know the Lord will use me and turn this situation into something posative. He is good!
