Family.

Hello, I was looking at a reply to something I'd written on Bibleforums in the website stuff section. Underneath his reply there are a couple of links and one took me to on-line Bibles, it was advertising "Christian message board" and if you hover your mouse over it,it say's,

"come and join us and be part of the Family" I thought that was pleasant to read, that you could be part of a family and never see each other physically.

Some say it's only a Forum not a Church, when in Church if the minister would bring a word on Sunday we would listen and take it in, not discuss it. It was our personal responsibility to respond to Jesus about what we heard. Sometimes the whole Church would have to make a decision after a word from the Lord, we are told we must Pray in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, so does that mean we must physically be together. It say's,

Mt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Some of us cannot Physically go to a physical gathering of the family of God, so is this another provision of God for you and I to gather in the Spirit. It is right and proper to go to Church if we can, while my Wife and I have been away from Church physically, they haven't forgotten us Spiritually, and have been prepared to help physically, a family member Alan

    Nice to see your post. You are right in your interpretation of what a family and a church is. Although we use the church for fellowship, we are called to witness. If going to church on Sunday is our primary response to God, then we are going to be in trouble. We are given two commandments, 1st to seek the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind, 2nd to love our neighbors, in other words to share with them the gospel message of salvation. This forum is a tool to see what others are thinking and to share certain truths that might help others find their way.

    Thank you, there was always ongoing thoughts in Church whether it was right to come and see or to go and tell. Some members belonged to communities were they lived together in a large house or farm or both, they would say come and see how we live and work together as a witness. Those in a Church situation would say go and tell was there witness, in fact they had both come and see and go and tell.
    Belonging to Bibleforums we have both, people can come and see on the forum, then with the hosting service which I enjoy the benefits of. This then gives us the ability to go into all the world and tell the story of the Love of Jesus in our life's. And point our visitors to the forum here to see how the love of Jesus is working in our life's as a body of people, Alan
