Thoughts on the Immigration Issue...

Lots of talk on this these days.

If I was a Christian leader of a real Christian nation, I would encourage immigration, but with a few caveats and with an evangelistic mission at the heart of it (i.e. the Great Commission )

There would a tough but very humane ( with Christian principles ) vetting process. The process might include interviews, detailed histories, reliable references, polygraphs or hypnosis to find out if they can live within OUR worldview. Other things might be considered to, but always with the mindset of showing these people real Christian values and that our worldview is superior to theirs ( becasue it is )

The Second thing I would do, is have all applicants sit for a course in the basic tenants of the Christian Faith.

The purpose would not to be to make them believe our worldview but to UNDERSTAND IT. Teach them what we believe and why. There is a difference. The case that we present, is self-compelling & will speak for itself.

Hebrews 4:12 Forthewordof Godis livingand active.Sharperthananydouble-edgedsword,it pierceseventodividingsoulandspirit, jointsandmarrow. It is able to judgethe thoughtsandintentionsof the heart.

I would make a standardized test at the end of the course to ensure that they at least understand our worldview, and understand the Gospel. They are free to reject it, when finished the course, but they must understand what we believe and why.

Many are rejecting a false view that they have been led to believe is Truth.

The Gospel works like a key in the human heart, unlocking it, bringing it alive!

Then, I would turn them loose into our lands and let them SEE the way a real Christian country lives. Let them see our superior worldview and values in action.

Not the current values of the west mind you. The sexual immorality, the gluttony, the materialism, etc.. but instead values like this:

Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Galatians 5:19-21

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

A man can hope right?
